Duets and Duels
Cancer, you go into December with the capacity to end your issues with a duet or a duel. One or the other. So, this may be challenges in a marriage of work partnership. The trick to December is knowing that where you are already winning, you can go higher in 2024. If you feel you have immense issues to solve, you can also do something about that – ongoing. It really depends on what you created around yourself over the last few years as Pluto transits have a way of making you answer for everything. Yet there is still nothing there that cannot be resolved.

On January 11th, next year, we have a New Moon and a new beginning. The Sun at 29 Capricorn in conjunction with Pluto at 29 Capricorn on January 22nd, 2024. This may be seeing a counsellor to deal with anxiety or using psychedelics to treat depression. It may be enrolling in a Tarot class or starting a commitment to a church. This is the inner life cycle.
This is the Twelfth House of your solar chart and it’s often a cycle when people give up drugs or alcohol and make an ongoing commitment, say, to A.A. It is also the cycle when you can pursue hypnosis, therapy or C.B.T. to address long-standing issues which date from childhood or young adulthood. Those things take a lot of time, but you have it in 2024 and you can also triumph.
In December 2023, you may be really focused on your friends within a group. You may also, ongoing, be thinking about your career, academic career or unpaid work. So, Pisces, you may be writing off who (or what) did not work in 2023 but now banking on something or someone you are quite right to feel hopeful about.
What This Cycle Is All About
Basically, you’ve seen it all since 2008 when Pluto first entered Capricorn and your Eleventh House of friends, groups, social networks, your social life and your allies. You have found that one group in particular ended up being a story about real power and control. Even if it was not political it operated quite politically; it may still do, today.
You are now at a point in the cycle when you can spend a whole 12 months signing off. And win. You can win on whatever basis is meaningful for you. Pisces, you did try to harness people power in 2023 and it could only take you so far before you realised that some things are even bigger than those in your circle or network. We might call them ‘the uncontrollable.’
December is also very much about foreigners and foreign countries, which is a process of discovery you began in October. You will be closing that down after Christmas. This month is also about success, status, ambition and position. This goes into 2024, actually, so you’re not done yet.
For all that this is eating up time and energy, though, the most important issue of 2024 is friendship within a group. You have had wins on the board here since 2008. You have also lost friends, perhaps, or left groups. You may even now be wondering how to resolve power and control issues with a particular circle of people, or with one person who is a frenemy, perhaps. Nancy Mitford’s famous word for half friend, half enemy may apply here. It really depends on what you were doing these last few years, as this is a slow cycle, and it takes time for some things to be set up.
In 2024 you will be shown how to work a group of friends and allies. This may be a replacement for something else in your life. It may be a reboot of what is already there. Doing this begins in December, now, because it will take months. Your success depends on your willpower. That is where the power will come from, for you, but also all of you, together.
