The Eighth House is where life is in reverse now. This house is about everything which is usually far, far below the financial surface. This idea of everything being underground, undercover, under the radar or under the floorboards is central to this cycle in your horoscope. You have to tunnel down or dig deep with money or property. Most of what takes place at this time will happen beneath the economic or property surface layers. Having signed off twice from a major issue, you now have a ‘fresh start’ choice after Boxing Day. The expensive adultery which breaks up a family is Eighth House, for example. That is where the deepest action has been. Two endings and a beginning approach.

Pluto is now in your Eighth House. Scorpio is the sign which governs the Eighth House. The old astrologers had a dark sense of humour when they searched for an appropriate symbol for this area of the horoscope. So, scorpions reach ‘kiss or kill’ realities when they mate because one can sting the other to death, or even (wait for it) eat the other. Pluto is now in your duets and duels zone. Astrology is ancient and the archetypes we work with today go back 2000 years and more. So, we are talking about a time many centuries ago when separation and divorce were just not possible for religious or other reasons. Accepting the hopeful, expansive new realities of dual incomes, joint bank accounts, the cost of raising children, the mutual household budget and so on is part of this Jupiter cycle.
