Once all the fast-talking and talk-trading is over, you may be left with question marks instead of certainties (or worse, left with a stuck or cancelled result you can’t change). Your ruler Mercury is now retrograde until February 2023 in your finance and property zone. For this reason, astrologers traditionally advise their clients to avoid signing important paperwork when Mercury is going backwards in the Eighth House. This is a good time to sort things out with your partner, if you treat life as a rehearsal or process until February 2023. You’ll be better informed then and more logical about things. As long as you don’t ignore your feelings on this Mercury Retrograde (or theirs) you should come up with useful results later – no matter if you are organising Christmas or even tackling really serious marital or business partnership issues. The Third House famously rules cousins, brother and sisters, so Christmas karma is there while the South Node is in your Third House too. This is going to be an incredibly demanding time for closure by July 2023 as you’ll be dealing with karmic currents from 18 or 19 years before. So many X-factors will complicate your dealings with a family member or household member now, that you may want to wait until this cycle is over in February, before you start making up your mind. This is particularly true if you are selling them something, lending them money, or buying/borrowing/negotiating. Mercury is about all that, and he is now retrograde in your family zone. Whatever the nature of your parental, brother or sister ‘business’, though, this is a famously odd time, when what is allegedly settled or final, is often subject to change or flux.

Mercury Retrograde in your Third House of commuting and local travel is with you until February. Cars, taxis, trucks, boats, aeroplanes, trains and buses can be unreliable now, or you will face transport strikes, traffic jams, accident delays, or schedule changes. Cancellations too. This is traditionally a challenging time to buy a new car, get a truck repaired, or to take any kind of holiday. The Third House traditionally rules short trip away, so if you have one of those on the agenda, try Plan B.

The crucial financials? Well, you may want to postpone it until Mercury is direct again and out of shadow from 7th February 2023.
