The Taurus New Moon and You
The Taurus New Moon is timed for 12.31pm on Sunday 27th April 2025 in Los Angeles. Adjust for your nearest city. It’s wise to allow the ‘day before, day after’ rule to allow for all time zones and sleep/work cycles, so we could say April 26th, 27th, 28th is a new beginning for you, that will lead to new freedom in one area of your life.
In this feature I will look at. your solar chart (Sun Sign) and natal chart too. Your Birth Chart and the New Moon

Hi Jessica, It has been a fascinating few days where a lot of what you spoke of is visibly shaping the world, be it the church, USA, economy, transition to local from global, closing in of boundaries, etc. I’d love to hear some good news in the area of work and income. I have Minerva in 8 Taurus and Diana in Cancer at 9. I’m looking for another property as a getaway, but I don’t have the finances for it. I want to move towards a new lifestyle, straddling the city and country in a manner that allows me to work and earn and yet enjoy proximity to nature. My priority needs to be work. Thank you. The astrology has proven to be good guidance, especially with country borders and the economy. You’d like a getaway home and to go from city to country. You are a Sun Leo with a Cancer stellium. The house, land, apartment or houseboat you want is far more likely to be on offer from June 2025 until June 2026, as Jupiter transits your Fourth House of sanctuaries and real-estate. The end of a long and heavily restricted situation with finance, property, valuables, business, charity comes on 25th May 2025, when Saturn changes signs. All this suggests things are on the up and up for you, but I need to add that you are in a property and finance karma cycle, taking you back 18 and 19 years, from now through 2026. So if you owe from that time, you must accept settlement and closure, with the universe overseeing the debt. However, if you are owed (you were generous with others without expectation of reward) you will be nicely repaid. For example, if you let a friend rent your home 18 years ago for a very low sum, because of his financial issues, it may be that your dream situation comes up for you, with city and country locations, by June 2026. You’re not directly affected by the Taurus New Moon, but in general, it is time to make some long overdue decisions about insurance, your pension/superannuation, your will, any will that names you (if you know about it), benefits which are purely cash-in-kind (the keys to somebody’s home, shared or lent), valuables, possessions, land, houses, apartments and so on. This is a strong and important new direction for you and those around you. It’s rather like finding a sign post which a lot of traffic follows – all to the right destination, after a fair bit of thought and research. That last part is up to you.

I have quite a few things at 6-7-8 degrees, but not in Taurus. My Virgo Stellium has the Sun at 6, and is conjunct the Moon 10, Uranus 1 and Pluto 9. I also have Jupiter 7 Pisces conjunct Chiron at 8. Then there’s Saturn 6 Aquarius and finally Fortuna 7 Sagittarius. Anything you could tell me on what to expect from this is much appreciated. I am between contracts (publishing) at the moment, waiting for response on a pitch. I also have a book out in mid-June.
The short answer is, other people’s big life changes, will send out a ripple effect which reaches your shore. It will be spread out in April and May, rather like a long wave. What you’ll see, up until Tuesday 29th April, is people in your personal circle, but also professional contacts, making really important choices about their banking, business, insurance, investments, property and so on. As a Sun Virgo woman you have the New Moon in your solar Ninth House of foreigners, foreign countries, the worldwide web and/or academia. Nothing to do with your redundancy payment, but Saturn, Neptune and Chiron in Aries certainly are. This triple phase begins from May 26th 2025 and asks you to get real about the new reality. You are a Sun Scorpio woman experiencing the very new transit of Neptune in Aries in your Sixth House of work. Saturn will join Neptune in the Sixth House from 26th May 2025 and Chiron has been in your Sixth House for many years. So all of a sudden you want to switch your career direction – you are feeling the transits. Hi Jessica it’s been a crazy weird time for me these last few months, stop start stop start but it’s just a merry go round of stops it feels, anticlimactic of waiting for some big boom to happen or the windfall that never comes, it felt like it was coming in November and suddenly all went quiet and then I felt everything began to go south for me and I’ve been recovering ever since. I have only recently stabilized and I thought improving but now I feel shaky again and that big boom I’ve been expecting, well it’s a confrontation and face to face with my ex that’s been brewing for two years after a volatile and dramatic separation, where he assaulted me after exposure of an 8 month affair with his coworker that happened over our engagement and our wedding, even cheated on me on our honeymoon. He ran away and I’ve never seen him or spoken to him since and he’s never contacted me since. Never a word exchanged. Not an apology. Not a goodbye. Nothing. He was charged but got off the charges as our justice system in Canada is utterly broken. But I know instinctively, a face to face is coming. Intuitively the messages are in my dreams and I’ve had many readings confirming such.. he’s a Libra sun 15 degrees Cancer moon 15 degrees and Sag rising 4 degrees. He has Juno in Virgo 28 degrees, Minerva in Virgo 26 degrees, Venus in Virgo 21 degrees and his MC is Virgo 29 degrees and IC Pisces 29 degrees. Funny thing is he has substance abuse issues and this information would certainly cost him his job, should it be leak, and yet I’ve protected him. Also my Venus is Libra at 28 so just missed the cut off there. I feel so lost. I don’t know what is up or down and like there’s an invisible wall in front of me and no matter what I do, I make no progress and get in exhausted. You are a Sun Scorpio so do indeed have Jupiter (solutions, answers, opportunities, growth, expansion, improvement) in Gemini in your Eighth House of joint finance and property. Windfalls are just one example of what can happen, but it is far more common to see the value of a house or apartment increase (perhaps yours, perhaps one left to you in a family or partnership will) – or to see a drop in the price of a mortgage loan cost and so on. You live in Canada so will find the tariff war with America could happily affect you, but remember Jupiter in Gemini is only there until 9th June. Your former husband is a Sun Libra man and abuses substances, which you cover up. You want a confrontation. I’d advise against. You are a Sun Virgo with a Gemini stellium and that is far more important than the Taurus New Moon. Take opportunities and solutions (now until June 9th with siblings, cousins, neighbours, short journeys, the media and the web. From July 8th 2025 what you are left with, which is hopefully big gains and solutions, is at the ground floor, in completely new and sudden situations, unexpected and unique, which will change just about everything you knew – over a period of some years. The first phase is July 8th until November 8th. The second phase begins on April 27th 2026 and takes you to the year 2033. Make independence your goal. Freedom from (something or someone) is worth the instability. You can also find a more liberating and exhilarating existence by taking on board all the inventions and innovations ahead with the worldwide web; the traditional print media; domestic and regional travel and local transport. More important than that, is your North Node at 29 Taurus and South Node at 29 Scorpio. This is about your pension/superannuation, the price and value of your house or apartment; rental prices; interest rates on savings accounts; taxation; the cost of insurance and so on. The New Moon tells you that others (perhaps even your council or government) will be ready to make a fresh start. This sends a ripple effect which touches you. The biggest change comes later when Uranus goes to 29 Taurus in June and July 2025, which will bring sudden and unexpected events which ask you to meet change – with change. For that reason you may want to keep things as flexible and open as possible so that you can meet the situation as easily as possible. This is karmic in nature and involves your last incarnation, when you were notably rich or poor. You can certainly get away with the so-called outrageous, impossible or unacceptable – the unthinkable – with money, charity, business, property and valuables. Taurus rules all that in your chart. Transiting Uranus is conjunct my natal |Ascendant and natal Chiron. How does this play out, Jessica?
I often say this, but the Ascendant is the least important part of the chart. People often get it wrong because parents do not remember the time of birth accurately – and even when accurate, it is just your packaging or how you present. Sudden and unexpected new events which dramatically change your appearance or name, occur when transiting Uranus is in conjunction with the natal Ascendant. Chiron is far more important as you have a 26, 27, 28 degree pattern across Scorpio and Taurus, the finance and property signs. Uranus going over that is the same in impact, with the known world turning upside down (we have a trade war, for a start) by July. Then the wild weather returns at the end of the year, finally closing as you finish the first quarter of 2026. So stay flexible. Stay on your toes. Roll with the storms and try not to hang on too tightly, to who or what once was (especially your life budget). Vulcano shows your iron self-control and steely willpower around money, possessions, property, charity, business and this would have been the story. You did in fact just have a new beginning as the New Moon went over 7 Taurus. This is part of a larger wave of constant change (you are directly affected by the trade war) as Uranus has been going over 7 to 23 Taurus for a very long time. The question marks stop in July. There is a long break from ‘not knowing/never predicting’ and then the question marks begin again at the end of 2025 and into the first quarter of 2026. Then Uranus really is gone and it’s over. It’s not too much longer, if you can keep on ducking and diving, dodging and adapting. Ceres at 6 and the North Node at 29 Taurus suggest that the fresh start which appeared in recent days is part of a bigger change, quite radical in terms of your house, apartment, valuables or bank account, later in 2025 and again in early 2026. You have a lifelong pattern of being made to do deals with others or bargain with the universe (Ceres) over finance or ownership, and that just appeared again. The phrase ‘Some for me, and some for you’ applies here, no matter if you are talking about the bank, government taxation or a partner. Uranus with all his sudden and unexpected impact will go to 29 Taurus and so the more flexible, adaptable and bendy you are, the better. You will need to meet change, with change, when that happens – so by July you will have been asked to alter course, quite suddenly. The need to stay flexible is still there from the end of 2025 into the first quarter of 2026, but then it’s over. Also, I have been using the various divination tools on your website and again they have been incredibly personal and accurate. The New Moon in Taurus doesn’t hit your chart at all, actually, so I am not surprised you have seen no changes. You sound more concerned about your marriage. Libra factors at 1, 3, 4 in your Seventh House of marriage are now under transit from Neptune going to 1, 2, 4 Aries in opposition in 2025 and 2026. Saturn goes to Aries at the end of May and will also oppose your Libra patterns at 1, 2, 4 degrees. I’m sorry to hear that, Robin. You are a Sun Libra with a Virgo stellium in your Sixth House of workload and wellbeing and that should be the focus in 2025, 2026. You have the South Node going through Virgo and your natal Sixth House for the first time in 19 years. When we go to your Sun Sign (solar) chart we find Neptune just gone from your Sixth House; Saturn goes in the final week of May – and you are left with the North Node in the Sixth House. In plain English, publicly and privately, it is time to really examine how your daily routine works, from sleeping to waking. This includes food and drink, of course, exercise, actual sleep quality, any medication, alcohol or illegal drugs and complementary therapies like acupuncture. I am sorry you have this financial strain. There’s no chart here so I can only give you a limited take. You have also not included your Sun Sign and the solar chart is always central. What seems to be happening is past life karma, probably with yuor stepdaughter and/or your partner, which is about money or property. The lunar nodes are on the money and real-estate axis at 27 Taurus/Scorpio. Mars is at 27 as well so this can become conflicted (Mars rules the cut and thrust of life; the nodes rule karma). Uranus going to 27 Taurus triggers it all. This does not last. You get a long break from the instability from July and then in early 2026 you can sign off from the Uranus in Taurus transit altogether. It’s history. I strongly recommend you use the Tarot and Modern I Ching to look at the situation with your stepdaughter, on this site.

I am a Sun Scorpio and wondering how the New Moon in Taurus will affect me. My ex husband died earlier this year and I had a lot of sorting out regarding finances, funeral etc. My partner moved into my property the latter part of last year. Things are not great as he has an addiction (has had this for years) and he goes back to his home when this happens as I don’t like being with him. I enjoy the time we are apart, I hope that doesn’t sound awful. He also has various medical issues.

I am sorry you lost your former husband and now your partner is dealing with his addiction. This sounds like an ongoing Seventh House and/or Eighth House cycle with both men. This applies to your solar and natal chart. You are a Sun Scorpio woman with Scorpio and Libra stelliums, so this all fits. Publicly you have Jupiter in Gemini until June (the opportunity to have more, from partner finances and property) and then from July, Uranus in Gemini, for many years ahead (the revolution that sets you free, again with partner finances and property). I am in a stuck situation with property one has been on market for 2 years bought around the March 2018 mercury retrograde and the other has boundary problems. Both have problem neighbours. I have an opportunity to let the house to homeless under a 5-7 year contract but not sure if this is the best solution. My solicitor is taking her time with the boundary issue….Will both situations resolve soon. My chart has lots of planets Retrograde does this have a big impact on my life experiences? Retrogrades in the chart indicate you go backwards and forwards, regularly, regarding the house (life area) affected. When the retrogrades are triggered by transits, a familiar period of stop-start. rehearsal and reversal unfolds.
