Ceres, Venus and Pluto in Aquarius
On Saturday 7th December at 6.00am in New York (adjust for your time zone) we see the historic line-up of Ceres,
Venus and Pluto all at 0 Aquarius. The Moon is at 0 Pisces. In this feature I will look at what that means for your Sun Sign chart, or solar chart. It’s a triple conjunction.
I will also look at your birth chart. Do you have factors at 0 degrees of any sign? You will feel this. Do you have factors in Aquarius, the sign of friends and groups?
You will also feel this change, in a personal way. The famous wavy line logo shows the new power. It is horizontal. Shared across, not from the top down. This is extremely rare and historic new Aquarius weather. It will change things for some time to come.
How Your Sun Sign Chart is Affected
Your Sun Sign chart or solar chart, shows the headlines of your life. The private story is in your birth chart. What follows is what obviously shows up as the beginning of transformation in your life. It will last for some 20 years. The people, places, organisations and situations may change. Some may not (a marriage, for example, or the birth of a child, or the purchase of a house).
The theme will never alter. In this new cycle, Pluto will test your self-control and willpower in the most intense situations, which will empower you – if you get it right. It is very important to remember that Pluto is associated with nuclear power. You will be offered the most tremendous control and influence on this long cycle.
Handle with care. You will also meet people or organisations which want to take over. To dominate. Again, handle with care. Later on in this feature I will look at the meaning of Venus and Ceres alongside Pluto and what that rare line-up at 0 Aquarius means. The astrology chart for the historic 7th December 2024 line-up is at the end.

About Venus
Venus is a symbol of complicated relationships, such as those found between mother and son; husband and wife; two lovers committing adultery; daughter-in-law and mother-in-law. Venus was involved in all such bonds. Vanity and envy both play their part in any Venus story. It is associated with women whose sole focus is themselves, family and/or sexual relationships. The symbol for Venus is a stylised hand-mirror; a circle on a cross, based on ancient mirrors. Venus ‘mirrors’ you in the relationship stories that unfold around you. It’s a two-way street.
About Ceres
Ceres is about the process of being forced to share the power and control. She is similar to Pluto her son-in-law and both are equal in astrology, being dwarf planets. Ceres is associated with compromise. She ruled the four seasons in Ancient Rome, where modern astrology comes from. Ceres shows the need to accept winter and autumn, as well as spring and summer. She commonly appears in situations where territory is carved up or turf is agreed upon. She appears in child custody arrangements, for example, but also job-sharing. This dwarf planet is associated with great highs and lows, emotionally. The challenge is to find the middle path.
About Pluto
The biggest factor in this three-way line-up of Ceres, Venus and Pluto is the latter. He can only be in Aquarius in this area of your life (above) once every 248 years. He stays for a further 20 years.
You did have a preview of this situation, or a similar one, from March 24th 2023 until June 11th that year. Remember what happened? Again, from January 22nd 2024 until September 2nd (this year) Pluto gave you a taste of what was to come.
Pluto is about potential new power, influence and clout. It is about powerful, controlling, dominating people, organisations or situations. In return you must show willpower and self-control or you may feel taken over.
Do You Have 0 Degree Factors?
Friday 6th December, Saturday 7th December, Sunday 8th December 2024 will trigger whatever you have at 0 degrees in your birth chart. The ‘what’ of the story concerns the planet, asteroid, angle (and so on) at 0 degrees, its sign and house. If you are a Premium Member you will already know this or can quickly refer to your library on this website.
The event or situation that is the trigger? Well, it will concern a group of friends and acquaintances, such as you find on Bluesky or Substack, or in a political party like the Democrats or Republicans.
The trigger could also be a rock band, football team, trade union or other community group. It will be diverse and have men, women, black, white, old, young, rich, poor within its ranks.
There is a deal or compromise within this group showing up on December 6th, 7th, 8th where the control will be carved up. This will affect you, perhaps directly, maybe at a distance.
So, for example, if you have Pluto at 0 Libra in the Seventh House of marriage, your husband may be caught up in a whirl of promotions and demotions in his symphony orchestra, which also affects you as his wife.
Do You Have Aquarius Factors?
I will defer to The Rulership Book by Rex E. Bills on the subject of Aquarius planets, asteroids, angles and so on – in your birth chart.
You are about to be profoundly affected by the events of December 6th-8th. Maybe you already have those dates in your diary and have a vague idea of what is about to change. Expect – power and control, shared in a new way. Complicated relationships.
Here is the edited Rex E. Bills list, from his 1971 classic, published by the American Federation of Astrologers.
Acquaintances, astrologers, clubs, Congress, co-operative societies, friends, House of Commons, House of Representatives, humanitarianism, civic organisations, Parliament, philanthropy, public corporations, public institutions, reform, progressive thinking, senators, social functions, socialism, societies.
To this I would add – equal space shared between both sexes, all classes, races, sexual preferences – because this ancient archetype is so linked to the Roman water-bearer who supplied the baths where everybody gathered in the community.
