Now, here is your 2025 forecast. What’s in store for you?
The Sun is your Tarot card for 2025. Aries, your ruling planet Mars is retrograde in your zone of babies, infants, teenagers and Generation Z. He starts your year there, twice. First in January then in April. We also have Mercury Retrograde in the same zone, in the sign of Leo. This brings two unusually long cycles involving the young. Mercury spends June to September 2025 in Leo in your Fifth House of parenthood or substitute parenthood.
We have a message here about welcome turning points and celebratory moments involving children or teenagers. Sometimes – a pregnancy. You can begin dating a woman who has several impressive godchildren. You can be a teacher who sees a star pupil shine, or a boss who finds his or her intern hits the heights.
The Sun card has turned up for you. We also associate sunflowers with ‘son flowering’ and the blossoming of youth. This card appears when children do well at school, or a girl becomes the captain of her netball team. It can be quite literal, in that a nephew does well at the local gymkhana. Your boy may score the lead role in a hit theatre production. If you are on the road to I.V.F. or adoption, be open to the biggest and best outcomes, no matter who and what turns up for you.

2025 is dominated by an older man at the top of his organisation or family. You need to negotiate with him. This is a boss, senior official, corporate male or perhaps your father or husband. It may be you, if you have risen to the top of your profession and are senior (this is a grey or white-haired man). There are a couple of reasons for this card. One is the South Node in Virgo in your sector of work, service, duty, wellbeing, hierarchy and the pecking order. The other is the end of Pluto in Capricorn in your Tenth House of career, unpaid work and academia.
This card is really telling you to look deeply into the soul, heart and mind of this man to figure him out and strike a deal. Or, if you are The Emperor, to strike a deal with yourself about success and what it means to you. This senior man is obviously receptive even though he is intimidating. And if this is you? Ask yourself if you want to stay at the top and why. And how you intend to do that.
Intimidating, powerful, influential and forbidding, The Emperor is an older man who is quite alone. He’s made it to the top, but what can you do for him? What can he do for you? This may be your husband or father. Perhaps your boyfriend, Aries. He seems uncomfortable in his position, so ready to give it or share it. Maybe, to relinquish it. In old China, The Emperor was the supreme ruler and was surrounded by all kinds of walls, gates, doors and locks. All kinds of protection. The question is, do you have what it takes to get up to him – onto his level – to begin the conversation?

The ‘bible’ or ‘good book’ is prominent here. The word is the law. The monks suggest questions about accepting or rejecting that. Perhaps this Tarot card has a personal message for you, Aries. You may be a Catholic. Perhaps this is the Pope laying down the law about celibacy, and perhaps about the holy vows of matrimony.
When we look at your solar chart in 2025, we find Uranus (change) going into Gemini (ideas, theories, messages, lectures, books, bibles, websites, the media, the internet). There is questioning here. The status quo may not necessarily last. The doctrine is not necessarily the last word. This can be astrology itself. Or the Tarot. Or it may reflect Islam or Judaism.
The other thing about your solar chart, which echoes this card, is the end of Saturn and Neptune in Pisces and the start of the North Node in Pisces. This sign has long shown Christianity and its alternatives. So, for example, the Anglican Church – but also paganism. Buddhism.
There are lots of questions here about what is right and wrong, good and evil, ethical and unethical, moral and amoral. Who or what is in charge and who or what must obey? This is a year of potential rebellion, revolution or rejection. Others may no longer accept ‘the word.’ There is a rather rigid set-up here. Rigid set-ups are always examined closely when Uranus goes through the Third House of ideas.

The Sixth House, which rules doctors, nurses, surgeons, dentists and healers is where a change is overdue, Taurus. 2025 is a big year for you healing and helping – or you being helped and healed. From January 2025, the South Node finally leaves your Sixth House. A cycle of some 18-19 years is over. That’s big. When we go to your birth chart, we find the South Node going into Virgo, which also rules your Sixth House. The same area of life, highlighted twice.
The healing here may also be for depression or anxiety. Perhaps, other mental health issues. Strength is about a heart surgeon or a psychiatrist. A hypnotherapist or an acupuncturist. A dentist or doctor. Perhaps you already know exactly what I am talking about as you read this.
The card shows absolute trust. The lion could maul the healer. The healer could hurt the lion. Instead, something miraculous is occurring. This is a two-way street. If you are in the medical or healing profession, you just know that your next patient is going to be more than just another customer. There will be a profound interchange here and you may effect a transformation. You certainly won’t be forgotten.
Sexual healing may be the story. Or a healing process for parents, or people who are infertile, or going through an I.V.F. program. Your birth chart will show what the story is. I say this, because the South Node going through Virgo is very much about the next generation. Being King or Queen to a younger court. Having heirs, spares or pretenders to your throne (and being helped with that). The South Node transits your solar Fifth House in 2025.

2025 sees your Twelfth House of inner spiritual search, well and truly transformed by Saturn and Neptune in Aries, together with Chiron in Aries. I will be talking more about this with Zane Stein, the world’s leading expert on Chiron, at The Astrology Collective later in the year.
The Hermit is personal. It really depends on how ‘light dawning’ is defined. For some people it’s God. For other people it’s philosophy or multiverse theory. This is the year you may turn to psychiatry, psychology, astrology, the Anglican faith, Islam and so on. You need answers this year. The internet contains a lot (an awful lot) of illuminating information about the Roman Catholic Church, Buddhism, Humanism, Judaism, Hinduism. Perhaps this does not even have a name for you.
This Aries transit is big. It begins with the end of the North Node in Aries in your solar Twelfth House in January. Later in 2025, in comes Saturn with Neptune. This is historic sea change on the inside and it will have a profound impact on everything. Relationships. Money. Career.

In 2025, you will find it easy to change the way you eat or drink (perhaps giving up alcohol) in the interests of detoxing. It will be easier to lead a pure lifestyle, and this may involve fitness or the great outdoors.
Your birth chart shows the arrival of the South Node in Virgo, the sign which rules good health. You will do this with the backing of a group. When Pamela Colman Smith created this card, Temperance was linked to people power in a community. So, today we think of the World Woman’s Christian Temperance Union, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Alcohol Justice, International Blue Cross, Independent Order of Rechabites, and the International Organisation of Good Templars.
This is a pure Aquarius symbol as we have a water-bearer in the Temperance card with the wavy Aquarius logo being poured from cup to cup. The pool below shows ‘pooled resources.’ This is again shown in your birth chart, as for the first time in 248 years, you have Pluto in Aquarius, the sign of ‘all of us together.’
This card shows healing. This is mental or physical health, balance and harmony and it’s a wonderful card to see for 2025.

For the first time in years, Gemini, you will no longer have Pluto controlling your financial relationship with the opposite sex. You are free to change things with this man or woman. You are also free to go. The person, organisation or situation which dominated, ended in November 2024. In 2025 you can end the restrictions.
In your natal chart, we find another simultaneous ending and beginning, if you want it. This takes place because the South Node is no longer stuck in Libra, in your natal Seventh House of marriage, sexual partnership, adultery, separation, divorce and reconciliation.
Uranus in Gemini, new this year, is suggested here, as he is the 1781 symbol of liberation, freedom, independence and revolution. It would be quite revolutionary for you two to end a situation where you are both trapped, but it’s time.
The Devil can show up if you are a gay man, but a woman’s sexuality is creating a confined, difficult situation for you at work. It’s complicated. It can show up if you are a lesbian and dealing with a man’s sexuality, which is inescapable with this card.
As I’ve mentioned, the ending/beginning story in your life is coming from the end of the South Node in Libra in your Fifth House of sexual politics. That happens in January 2025. In your birth chart, this takes place in your Seventh House of marriage, de facto relationships, affairs and divorce. So, it’s a double whammy.

The goal here is obviously the house, apartment or holiday home in the distance. Paying the rent, saving up for renovations or funding a vacation. Yet, you are overdoing it. In 2025, it is time to change your workload. Stop and delegate, reschedule, or jettison what is there, or there will be a physical toll, as the human body is not a machine, a robot or a computer. Maybe you are already feeling this, Gemini. Stop multi-tasking.
This shows up in both your charts, solar and natal. In your solar (Sun Sign) chart you have the end of Saturn and Neptune in Pisces in your career zone. In their place, the North Node goes into this sign. So, there are a couple of bumps this year. One in January. Another in May. This is a classic indicator of the end, that is the beginning. The end of too much paid work, unpaid work and/or study – and the beginning of a new lifestyle.
In your natal chart, the South Node goes into Virgo, into your Sixth House of daily routine, mind, body and spirit. Service and duty to others, but also your first duty, which is to your own mental and physical wellbeing. We also have the South Node going into your property and real-estate zone in 2025. So, it is time to look at your mortgage or portfolio, your rent or renovation, in a completely new way.
What are you doing this for, if you can’t even put one foot in front of the other? This card is about the need to delegate or ditch and quite urgently so.

Gemini, in January 2025, you reach an ending and a beginning. The ending is the departure of the South Node from Libra, which rules couples, pairs, duets and duos. This is probably your marriage or a sexual relationship, but it can be any kind of double-act. It can be quite platonic, for example. You two must choose which location, to either share, or inhabit separately. Where will you both/either live or work in 2025? How is this going to function for you?
The other reason for this crossroads is the arrival of the nodes in Pisces and Virgo, also from January. Pisces rules how you work, where you work, and where to study or volunteer. Virgo rules your sense of place. Your location, environment and home, or workplace. We also have similar transits in your natal chart.
In 2025, you come to the end of the line with a key person, so very much like you – and have to choose a path. I strongly recommend you think laterally as life is not binary and there may be more creative and inventive ways for you two to navigate. You two are the same breed but different stripes, or different colours. Rather like my dog Tess (you can see the dogs in the card). She is the same as her Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Bull Mastiff siblings, but she is different.
This is the key to it all, really. You are not the same and the same work or home space may not suit you. Yet, you are identical enough to have the same basic needs.

The Judgement card lets you know that there is a huge shift taking place in 2025 with your family or friends (perhaps partners) in the spirit world. Two families rise from their coffins to embrace an angel, judging them from heaven. This card is linked to the Eighth House, home of the last will and testament, legacies and any inheritance. This tallies with your astrology chart in 2025. For the first time in 248 years, covering many generations of your ancestors, we find Pluto in your Eighth House.
The trumpet you see in the card was often used by mediums in the early 20th century to communicate with the spirit world. This card is a powerful symbol of transformation, redemption and rebirth. You can expect the next stage in a soul’s development as part of an extended family group of souls – perhaps two of them – and, thus, suggests people who incarnate and reincarnate together as family groups. This may also be friends who felt like family to you, Cancer.
What you do here in 2025, affects them. And on a spiritual level, your ancestors or friends going to the next level, also helps you. Note the red cross here too. That may have personal meaning for you. It can be seen as the Red Cross aid organisation or the St. George’s flag of England. Perhaps you will find another way to interpret the cross symbol this year.

This card shows you involved in the search for potential assets or profits. Cancer, for the first time in 248 years, Pluto is now in your sector of joint finances and shared resources. The only question is, do you collectively have the willpower to find it, if it is even guaranteed? There is a treasure map in the Three of Pentacles, but what a map – it looks more like a cartoon. The man holding one corner is a jester. A joker. The other person is a monk. The third person is rather short. Dwarfed.
I find this interesting as an astrologer because Pluto is associated with people who are dwarfed by circumstance. Diminished. Pluto in Aquarius in the Eighth House of finance, property, charity and business is showing up as a person who has shrunk in importance or shrunk in terms of his/her control. Pluto himself is associated with all that is buried, so coal (fossil fool fuel) but also diamond and gold. A lot of people spend a lot of time and money searching for gold in Australia, long after the famous Gold Rush of the 19th century has gone. It can be fruitless. It depends.
Do look at the three people and see if you think they are up to the task. Would you trust these three to work together? Perhaps not. They seem like an odd trio. A great deal depends on how you read the symbols or themes and apply them to your question and the situation.

A naked woman is spoilt for choice by people or places in Europe, the Americas or Australasia. This is you in 2025 or someone important to you. Your natal and solar chart say the same thing. Saturn and Neptune are about to leave your Ninth House of foreigners and foreign countries, ruled by Pisces. In comes the North Node, also in Pisces, in January 2025. Life as it was 18-19 years before may be playing a part, Cancer.
In your birth chart, Uranus enters the Third House of short journeys. A hop from London to Paris on Eurostar is indeed a short journey these days. Embarking on a round-world trip is overwhelming which may explain why the woman (centre) does not know which way to turn. As you might imagine, 2025 is a time for concentration and focus, which can help a smart decision about travelling or moving.
This is a card about the worldwide web, world travel and ‘the big wide world.’ Thus, we can interpret the symbols in geographical terms. Your year may be about a new export market, or a foreign university offering a chance to study abroad. You may fall in love with a woman who cannot commit to visiting you in your own country. All of these would be typical of these Ninth House and Third House transits this year.
If you have Sagittarius factors in your natal chart, at the early degrees of the sign, then Uranus will be in opposition to them. This would be an historic year for you with a great deal of flux, concerning foreigners and foreign countries.
The trick is always to bring the attention back into the self, away from the distraction of who or what is in another country. And the nakedness of the woman in the centre is interesting. Is there an issue here about being female, or being a sexual creature?

Financial Abundance is shared when this card turns up. The Six of Pentacles in 2025 is also reflected in your chart, as you have the South Node in Virgo in your personal finance zone and the North Node in Pisces in your partnership and family money zone. You are owed, or you owe, from life as it was 18-19 years ago. Perhaps, another 18-19 years, prior to that.
If you did a great deal for charity then, perhaps it is time for you to give back again, but this time you will be rich. Profits or money are coming. Here, with this card, you need to figure out if you are the donor or recipient but there will be an important transfer of money ahead. If you need money, the Six of Pentacles reveals it will be given to you or lent. This is Robin Hood. Or perhaps Mackenzie Scott, the former wife of Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, who is a famous philanthropist.
Leo, this picks up your natal and solar chart. If you have anything in Taurus and/or Scorpio at later degrees, the end of Uranus in Taurus in 2025 is also the end of financial uncertainty. More predictable times are coming. There will be an exchange of wealth that puts everyone on a more solid footing.
There is a principle at stake with this card. Justice or fairness (the scales) and perhaps a legal ruling. The scales in the card nod to your Seventh House of partnership. Here we have Pluto in your Seventh House for the first time in 248 years. Perhaps you and your husband or boyfriend are due money.
The other whopping clue about your astrology chart this year (your solar chart, based on your Leo Sun Sign) is the end of Saturn and Neptune in your Eighth House. This card tells you it is the end of hard times for others or hard times for you. We’re looking at the middle of 2025 here in terms of timing.

You have Uranus with all his freedom, space and independence moving into your sector of groups in 2025. This is shown in the Ace of Cups, as you can see a group of lotuses floating in the water below the cup. This represents you and your friends and allies, connected from the same spiritual source. You are spaced apart, so giving each other plenty of room, but it is the same wellspring which feeds you. And it never stops. The cup draws from the water and then is poured back into it.
Uranus in Gemini in your Eleventh House of networks, circles and social media – as well as associations, societies and teams – has not occurred in your adult lifetime. Uranus is associated with all that is new, and the Ace of Cups is about renewal with your friends.
This is one of those cards which makes every heart leap because at first glance it transmits so much joy and energy. It often turns up before a baby is Christened, but it can also appear when there is a relationship phase, a friendship phase, or a brand-new involvement which is the gift that goes on giving.
There are many symbols here. Perhaps they have personal meaning for you. The letter W is on the cup. The Christian cross is on the Holy Communion wafer. The dove of peace flies overhead. The Tibetan Buddhist lotus flowers float on the water. The cup itself is about emotional or sometimes sexual fulfilment, and this one is overflowing as we’ve seen. There is no end to what pours forth. Your cup runneth over and the cups were associated with water signs in the original Tarot, so this is Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.
Cancer rules the family. Scorpio rules sexual relationships. Pisces rules spiritual bonds between people. Which of these will you experience in 2025?
Christenings are often suggested by this card, as I’ve mentioned, or there is a spiritually fulfilling and emotionally rewarding passage in a relationship or family situation which feels as if something has been ‘Christened’ or blessed and brought into being. You do have Pluto in your Seventh House of marriage and partnership in 2025, for the first time in 248 years. If your natal chart is also attuned to this, then it may be time for you and your husband to have a child.

Pluto is now in your Seventh House of engagement, marriage, de facto partnership, separation, divorce and reconciliation. This has not happened for 248 years, Leo, and 2025 is momentous for a relationship. We all recognise this moment in the card between lovers in the card (or potential lovers). A couple who have argued are about to make up, if she agrees. Two people who are dating and attracted need to cross the bridge between each other to find intimacy and trust. Perhaps just an amicable split if the relationship is on the rocks and needs a decision. Agreeing to differ, can be one outcome of this Two of Cups card. Getting together is another.
If you fell into a whirlwind relationship in 2024, perhaps it is time to get real now the intoxication of chemicals and hormones has gone in 2025. You could easily call it quits by mutual consent. I realise how annoying it is to read this and not be told if it’s time to split or commit. But the truth is, your own decisions in recent years will reveal what is ahead. We will see a lot of Third Decan Leo engagements, as much as we see separations – because you made your own choices in 2023 or 2024.
This is when the life-changing Pluto transit of your solar Seventh House began. Do you have Libra factors in your birth chart? If so, there is karma with your husband or wife (say), and it ends in January 2025. There is karma with your former boyfriend or girlfriend, as you either owe, or are owed.

For the first time in 12 years, Virgo, Jupiter enters Cancer and your Eleventh House of friends, groups and people power in 2025. By June and July 2025, you will really know the difference, as fantastic celebrations and huge potential for shared abundance is coming. Jupiter has always been about the biggest and best since the Romans first gave us, our modern astrology.
Here we have an archetypal experience of feminine triumph known to Bananarama, The Supremes, The Slits and other all-female or mostly female bands. It is Elastica enjoying a stunning album debut to critical acclaim. Tarot designer Pamela Colman Smith was close to the theatre world suffragette and lesbian Edith Craig, who from 1916 was in a menage a trois with Christabel Marshall and Clare ‘Tony’ Atwood. The three women here may well be feminists or lesbian lovers. And, of course, one of these people may be a man. We cannot identify every person as male or female here. This may be The Breeders, with a man whose back is turned to us.
If you are not closely involved with a central group now, you certainly will be in 2025. This is also an image of sisterhood and solidarity so it may bring in the Eleventh House in your natal chart. Cups are related to sex and feelings so this may be a solid bond of sisterly friendship or something more. In 2025, if you have anything in Aquarius in your natal Eleventh House, it will be under transit from powerful Pluto. Thus, your birth chart echoes the card, if so. It is time to understand that solidarity and unity are control.
The Eleventh House is of course ruled by Aquarius and Pamela herself was a Sun Aquarian. She created illustrations for the nascent Suffragette movement at the turn of last century and of course, her sister did indeed win the vote. This zodiac sign is associated with community, equality and diversity. The kicker is – you all need to take what is there and use it to build the future. Don’t let the assets and resources go to waste while you snort back the champagne.

Uranus – the break for something new and liberating – is now spending 2025 in your zone of export, journeys and far-flung ideas. The Wide-Open Road is yours. The first thing to say about this Tarot card is that it’s not enough to have budding brainwaves or concepts with potential, or qualifications to show.
You need to come back down to earth, ground yourself, centre and settle down before you can begin the quest. Fortunately, you are an earth sign, so are grounded. This is the last year that Uranus in Taurus in your Ninth House will time situations where you generate quite so many life-changing ideas, messages, websites, export programs, trips, brainwaves and so on.
The time has come to take a big idea or qualification across the world. What is remarkable is the total lack of awareness of the second option, which is ignored. This could also be two versions or two drafts of the same idea. Check that, Virgo.

You are going into 2025 with the South Node in Virgo in your natal Sixth House of health, mental health, wellbeing, state of mind, fitness and energy levels. You were actually born with the Sun in Virgo in the Sixth House (using the Natural House System), so this is an important year for understanding your mind, body and spirit.
You also have the North Node going into Pisces and your Twelfth House, which rules the big answers of meditation, cognitive behavioural therapy, counselling, yoga, mindfulness and so on. This duality in your chart is obvious from January 2025, Virgo.
It’s so easy to blame everything, emotionally, on the quality (or lack of quality) of particular friends, or lovers, or potential dates, or work colleagues, or family members. The issue is actually your own state of mind. And that’s not something you can separate from the body in 2025, for the reasons just given.
The Tarot card shows you yourself, just waiting to discover what meditation (say) or determined walking (for example) can do for your spirit. Your mind. Your emotions. Note the tree (family tree) behind. This is one way out of the whole issue.
In 2025, you would gain by going back to your family roots. To ground. To centre. To focus. This is because Jupiter with all his big solutions moves into Cancer in your birth chart, from mid-2025. Cancer rules the clan and the origins. The history and culture of the family tree on either side. Remembering who you are is about remembering where you come from. Perhaps the family is the hidden core of the issue. A bit of digging might reveal that. Or is going back to the family, the solution?

Well, you were never going to get through Chiron in Aries, the North Node in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius without some relationships falling over. These things take time to get over, Libra. You are in fact the very first of the Librans to be affected by Pluto, and the North Node too, as both are circling the very early degrees of Libra, which is where your Sun happens to be.
The cups describe love and sex, and sometimes bodily fluids. Here we have three fallen over, maybe kicked to the ground, and we can see toxic green fluid (poisonous emotion or bile perhaps) on the ground along with blood. This is the stuff of Shakespeare, and you have been cast in the play.
It can sometimes show bereavement. Whatever the cause of your emotional withdrawal in 2025, it doesn’t take a great deal to see why you are wearing black. This figure understands the Rolling Stones song. He or she understands the Amy Winehouse song.
The future looks remarkably good, for you. Yet this card shows a journey. You have to heal. Then you move on. And when you do move on, it is to the most incredible, new, wide-open possibilities in a different place. This is a different place to explore, geographically, but also emotionally.

Here we have the innocent exchange of feelings – not sex, just emotion – and done with pure charm and trust. It’s child’s play, and here are two younger people. They may be infants, schoolchildren, teenagers or Generation Z, the Boomers. You have Pluto in your Fifth House of younger generations in 2025, 2026. It’s powerful. There is a powerful man leaving the scene in the card. As I’ve said, this card is usually about children in a literal way. So, we might be talking about your niece and nephew here, or two children in your class.
If we take this card purely as a child’s world, or a teenager’s universe, then we can see the escapism of a youthful reality. This is a bubble for these two younger faces. They are completely removed from the adult real world, with all their flowers and cups, in this little corner of the garden in what appears to be a very grown-up estate. They are encased in innocence in the most charming and simple way.
Here we have two younger faces, getting on with childish or adolescent pursuits while the adults are involved in the very serious business of managing the property and business. To empower these two, you have to give them control of their world. It can take willpower not to disturb that world, but that is what Pluto transits are all about.

This card is about the group behind the person who is central to it. This is rather like a team captain or a lead singer. Ask yourself if you are in the group or at the front, this year. If you regard people as a faceless mass, and make assumptions that they are backing you, sooner or later one of them may break apart from the group, and when he or she falls, the rest can topple sideways or off.
No matter how self-absorbed and self-congratulatory someone feels about ‘all this’ and ‘my people,’ it really is time to get off the chair and pay singular, individual attention to each solid-gold person, behind. This may be a message for you. These people have your back, but are you treating them as special, separate individuals? Treating people on a case-by-case basis, checking that they feel fulfilled, have all they need, are in a sturdy potion – averts what could be quite disastrous, at least at one end of the group, or the family.
Look again at the cup in the right-hand corner which is about to fall off. Like Ten Green Bottles, if one should accidentally fall, it means many of them might. The fabric can be pulled away and other cups, topple over. So much depends on just one person, but this one person is not even on the main person’s radar.
You have Pluto in Aquarius in your Eleventh House in your natal chart this year. There is power in the community. There is also a power imbalance between the central figure and the rest. That needs to be transformed, for the circle to be potent and transformative, itself.

Cups are sex or emotion, feelings – be they through a relationship, a family or on a spiritual level in a household. This is a great card to see for the next 12 months but keep it real. The rainbow is too much. At the end of the day, the children need to be fed. Houses need repairs and gardens need work. And yet – you have powerful Pluto in Aquarius in your Fourth House of extended family, home, the local environment, sanctuary and belonging in 2025-2026.
The couple are close, the children are happy. The house looks like a dream British 1909 cosy cottage. There is celebration here. The couple throw their hands in the air, the children are dancing happily. The rainbow at the top of the card shows the illusion. It’s beautiful but it’s elusive. Half the story here is not real. It looks real, but when it is chased it disappears. Bear this in mind, with this household or family.
Pluto in your solar Fourth House is matched by Jupiter in your natal Fourth House, over the next 12 months. If you have anything in Cancer in your birth chart, the expansion, growth, optimism and glad tidings will begin from the middle of the year.
This card is fascinating because it’s all about the space. The environment, rented or owned, lent or mortgaged, is part of the family. You cannot separate husband and wife, or children, from the garden, the local area and/or the home. It’s a part of them. It has an emotional presence. Cups runneth over, here.

Pages were male or female in Pamela Colman Smiths’ day, on the Shakespearean stage. This boy or girl is alternative, perhaps spiritual, religious, interested in astrology, the Tarot, mediumship, Buddhism or some other ‘ism’ that is his or her personal belief system and philosophy. There may be a different kind of inner life, devoted to paganism, or Hinduism – all the isms. This person may be your son or daughter, for example.
He or she floats through life, dancing with the moment, never really settling down or growing up (at least for now). There is the potential waste of something precious and valuable in the year ahead. If it is not valued, used correctly and managed – what is in this person’s hands may go to waste. You have to find a way to communicate and negotiate about this, on his or her terms. This younger person inhabits a different world. He or she dresses differently and does not relate, perhaps, to your own real world. Yet, you may be moved to try and influence what is going on, because you can see the potential but also the risk of waste.
If ever there was a card to show Saturn and Neptune in Pisces in your solar Fifth House, this is it. The North Node also enters Pisces in January. There is a direct reference here to Pisces, with the fish in the cup.

The Knight of Cups is always good to see in the Tarot. Here is someone who is solid gold and who is also steady. He has stamina, a sense of purpose and something valuable to give you. That is, perhaps, why you should do at least half of the running here, so that he is not forced to make the journey to see you unsupported. This is a family member, or a suitor. A partner or a very good friend. Perhaps, someone who is a purely spiritual connection. It really depends on your personal chart.
If you are a younger male Scorpio, this is you on a mission over the next 12 months. You are on your way to see somebody you have such pure feelings for. You will be travelling or relocating on quite a memorable trip. You have Jupiter with all his great outcomes going into Cancer, which rules journeys, travelers, migrants, tourists and the bigger geographical picture, this year. It begins mid-year and extends to the first half of 2026.
This man can be courting you, or off to meet you for the first time after a period of internet dating. He may be your son, back home after a gap year at university. This may be your friend, who you know through a meditation circle, who wants to come and see you. This is the young soldier returned from combat on his way with presents to put under the Christmas tree. Unlike some of the men Pamela Colman Smith created in her pre-war illustrations, he is firm, focused and steadfast.
The Patric Walker phrase, ‘Let distance lend enchantment to the view’ is relevant here.

Well, Sagittarius, your luck is in financially, in the second half of 2025 and first half of 2026. Jupiter, your ruling planet, moves into Cancer and the Eighth House of your solar chart. This card raises questions about ‘Now or later?’ as a little finance, or a few valuables, can be accessed immediately, or perhaps the whole lot – but at what cost to the glittering hypothetical wealth of ‘later’? It can really help to have solid financial advice.
This is about money growing on trees – if you do the work. Nothing in Pamela Colman Smith’s work is accidental or randomly placed. There is also a sum of money, or an important asset, which is being overlooked. Surprise! This is the thing which could give you so much more freedom. This shows up in your natal chart. You have Uranus in your Second House of possessions, investments, assets, lump sums and valuables. Sometimes the last thing you expected or assumed is at your feet. It will be in 2025. You, in the card, are so dazed from hard work, or daydreaming so much about future wealth, you cannot see the wood, for the trees. But there it is.

Money does not grow on trees, comes to mind here as you go through important work and money cycles in 2025. This shows in your natal chart and solar chart too. A solid income stream has to be earned by churning out products, goods, services or projects. They are all the same, but there is pride in good craftsmanship here. This is the card of an artisan or craftsperson. This is you, no matter if you are mining Bitcoin or producing cakes.
The property in the background may be a fine hotel or a desirable home but it is within reach – it can be purchased or leased – if the money is there. This is on account of Jupiter with all his hope for the future, going through your sector of houses, apartments, land and other residences – from the middle of the year.
There is an old-fashioned message here about the Protestant work ethic. With Uranus in Taurus in your solar Sixth House of daily effort, there is also a break from work, waiting to happen. Liberating yourself from the daily grind is only a matter of time. You may be heading for retirement, a different role, part-time work, a completely different profession – or variations on your own theme.
Inventing a new way to be more productive may also be on your mind this year. Uranus in Taurus in your Sixth House can do that. Is there a way for you to reinvent the wheel at work, or with your side hustle?
Pamela Colman Smith’s cards work together in stories, as well as single card readings, and there is a direct link between this card and the potential spinal problems you see in other illustrations. This is surely someone who needs a standing desk or at least a balanced lifestyle. The Sixth House is about health and wellbeing, as much as daily labours. You are being told that you need to be free. Not chained to the wheel. This suggests a radical rethink of your daily routine and lifestyle at some point. It’s only a matter of time, as I’ve said.

I have seen women change their lives when they draw this card, as they recognise that all their dithering is getting them nowhere and that something or someone so solid gold, emotionally, must be physically moved to a space or place, where there is a purpose.
If you are a woman, this is you (although sometimes it is a woman who is central to you; for example, your lesbian partner). If you are a man, then the Queen of Cups is your wife, girlfriend, possible new girlfriend, ex-partner and so on. Maybe, the mother of your child. This is clearly a woman worth our respect (a Queen) who has a precious, unique relationship she does not know what to do with. This is a Rubik’s Cube of the heart.
This is shown in your solar chart quite clearly as you have Jupiter then Uranus going through Gemini, which rules your Seventh House of former, current and potential partners – in 2025. The opportunity is there and it’s solid gold. That’s Jupiter. Yet Uranus is about people or relationships which are unconventional, unusual, unique. This does not fit any category. It may, for example, be a ‘Situationship’ and not a relationship. The solution is for this woman, who may be you, stop over-thinking this. Get real, roll your sleeves up, and move yourself and the relationship somewhere sensible where it can be put to good use in a different way.
You also have Saturn and Neptune moving into Aries this year and your solar Fifth House of the bedroom, courtship, babies, infants, schoolchildren, teenagers and young adults. If ever there was a Tarot card to show that, it is this one.

Communication is the key to this man. If you are a man, this is probably you – unless you are gay – in which case you may be strongly affected by a man who is so difficult to talk to. You may already know who the King of Cups is, no matter if you are a man or woman. If you can make him listen, or read, and engage him in a conversation about changing his position in life, you’ll get what you want, which is presumably some action and outcome. The issue is access. This man is impossible to get close to.
In 2025, you have Neptune moving into Aries which rules your family, household and any live-in partner, like a husband. Neptune is shown in the card. This man is all at sea. He is drifting and floating. Elusive and slippery. How do you deal with a man like this? Or yourself, if you know that you are drifting further away from people or home?
The ship in the background could be near his floating throne at any moment and he could jump aboard. You could join him. Or, if this is you, you could find a crew. That ship could take the pair of you (or all of you) anywhere, into a whole new life. Yet so much depends on him. The King of Cups can be infuriatingly detached and if he is not interested in listening to you, it is hard to see how he will ever organise himself to get on board with this group.

There will be a sudden change at the top, either at work or home – perhaps at university – and the group around the new arrival will scatter. Capricorn, you have Uranus (the unexpected) in your zone of daily life, normal routine, work, study and unpaid work in 2025 and 2026. There will be a radical change ahead.
You may be the departing boss, head of the family, leader, top dog or ‘King’ or ‘Queen’ of the situation. This will be liberating. Independence Day. Even if the situation which arises is challenging, you will very quickly realise you are free. It is also possible that you will be the triumphant new arrival. You may be asked to replace a C.E.O. for example, or a vote may find you taking over in a large organisation. The issue here is the group, if so, and the way the group will rise or fall around you. Who will stay and who will go?
Finally, it may be you who is among the people in the circle who must rapidly decide how to cope with this massive, sudden change. Clouds can also mask things (they dominate the card) so that nobody is really sure about what is going on. There can be a secret takeover or dethronement and that can affect everything. The crown, symbolising the top job or leading role, can only be taken here by force. Swords are symbols of aggression.

This may be you, or a woman who is important to you. If you are a man, it may be your wife or girlfriend. If you are female this is probably you, but we sometimes find the stuck woman turns out to be your sister, or your partner. Rather than just sitting there paralysed by inaction and trepidation, this woman would be far better off tuning into the situation with her remaining senses (including the sixth sense) and coming up with a game plan to get away, fight back or perhaps – put her swords down if there is no threat. She is also in a position to flee the scene although that is risky when she cannot see.
The lunar cycle is important here. This is a New Moon, emerging or just recently gone. Thus, it is a new beginning, but things are on hold. Have a look at the moon’s transits to your chart, or transits to the Moon. You have a free 2025 Astrology Calendar here which shows you the lunar transits if you need to watch them.
You also have Saturn and Neptune in Aries in your Fourth House of home, environment and belonging in 2025. This card shows somebody who is not yet settled and has not chosen where she fits in, either in terms of her home, her workplace, her university or her local region. She is caught between West and East. It is not unusual for the quandary to be about having a baby (or not) or the role of motherhood with a particular son or daughter. The two sides, can be her side of the family, and her husband’s. There may be a split choice here within your extended family circle, which the Fourth House also rules.

Three can be very difficult when the heart is involved. A love triangle, usually, with two partners in a painful situation with a third person. Perhaps an ex who will not go away, a mistress, or a romantic rival. The perfect cure is in the extraction of all three swords, at once, to promote heart healing. An imperfect cure is for you to pull out. You may move. You may stay, physically, but emotionally and mentally, withdraw from what is clearly an extremely uncomfortable and hurtful situation between yourself, him and her. Or yourself, her and her. Or yourself, him and him…it goes on.
You have Uranus (freedom) entering Gemini in 2025, and this is the sign that rules courtship, the bedroom, babies, infants, schoolchildren, teenagers and younger adults. It looks as though you will be free to choose to release yourself from who or what keeps you stuck, emotionally. This is the marriage of Diana, Princess of Wales and Prince Charles with various third parties. Camilla Parker-Bowles was the most famous face in the painful saga, but of course Diana also had lovers. Closer in time to 1909 when Pamela Colman Smith illustrated this card, Alice Keppel was the most famous mistress of King Edward VII.
This card can also describe two parents and a child in a bad marriage. I have seen just that, with a father whose wife and daughter ganged up on him. He went travelling by himself to get away from it. He then returned to the bad marriage, but with a different attitude. He was free, by refusing to get involved in competing for his wife, against his daughter – and competing for his daughter, against his wife.
Jupiter is also in Gemini until mid-year so there is help, healing and great hope for any difficult situation for your heart, no matter if this is a man who is with another woman (but who clearly prefers you) or your partner’s first wife, who is deceased, but haunts the relationship. Jupiter is a tremendous way out or through of any three-way situation.

This is an Eleventh House or Aquarius card as it shows a group of ideas, a community of plans, a collection of concepts. Look to the new Pluto transit in Aquarius, of the Eleventh House, natally. Will everything fall in a heap or are we looking at this card the wrong way? Perhaps they are falling upwards and will be reassembled as a group, to be built into something practical. No barn was ever raised, nor holiday log cabin built, without construction.
For that, it helps if everything is whole, with a soft landing, in the same place. Bits and pieces are not useful, and neither is a scattering or randomness about direction. The phrase ‘picking up the pieces’ after a messy descent by a group, household, band, political party and so on, can refer to the situation suggested by this card. Pluto is about transformation. That is here.
You were born with the Sun in Aquarius in the Eleventh House in your birth chart, so the transit of Pluto there is make or break, for the group. It can be a messy transformation or a more organised transformation, but you are all on track for reconstruction and rebuilding. That is, assuming all of you make the journey.
Ideas, theories and thoughts are ‘of the air’ and ‘in the air’ until they are brought down to earth. There is a lot of space between the wands. They are not particularly close or intimate. Friendship is linked to the Eleventh House. Not intimacy. Not closeness, physically. A light, bright, airy, breezy, cool and easy ‘space’ defines air sign connections. Yet, this lot are too disparate. So apart, so separated by gaps, that nothing and nobody is united. That is your/their challenge in 2025.

This is all about preparation, focus, clarity, vision and direction. Navigation and thought. This man on a mission (who may be you, but it is probably a man you know) cannot see properly – look at the eyes and you will see they are a little milky. Yes, he is a man on a mission and there is a lot to admire here, with all the heat and blazing brilliance. Yet, he could fall off. What he is carrying could be dropped or get lost on the way. His vehicle may not carry him.
This is very much about Neptune and Saturn in Aries in your Third House of brainwaves, projects, concepts, plans, scripts, ideas, packages, pitches and qualifications. This brand-new cycle begins, with both planets there, in May 2025. Neptune is the issue as it can produce people who are all over the place, all the time. Confused and confusing. This is the Knight of Wands. Are you he? You need to stop racing ahead and figure out a strategy.
And crucially, what/who this is ‘riding on’ is equally uncertain. So, this can be a publisher who is also lacking direction, for example, with an author who has not taken the time to find out more. It may all be ‘riding on’ a contract, if you are looking at a pure career matter, but there is a lack of focus and clarity.

Haven’t we all been there, with a group of people? This is the card showing the hurt outsider and the assembled group, club, team, society, association, social media network, trade union, band and so on. It can be peer group pressure or mob rule. It can also be the disenfranchised position of someone with former friends, or former allies, who finds himself in disagreement with them.
What this card shows is the aftermath of Pluto in Capricorn in your Eleventh House of groups, on November 19th, 2024, and the next-step compromise which came by December 7th, 2024. As you begin 2025, the hangover is evident with the group. You may be the outsider here or within the circle – dealing with a person who feels rejected or embattled. This person has been hurt. He looks hurt. His head hurts – and the head is where the ideas begin and opinions are formed.
Ironically the others in the group, or community, have remarkably similar thoughts to him. Those wands, rods or staves are rather similar. Wands are tree branches, symbols of paper mills, which in Pamela Colman Smith’s day, produced newspapers, posters and journals. Books and scripts. Today it’s life online.

With enough time, everything and everybody can heal and that is what this card is all about. There needs to be a long period of rejuvenation before life can begin again. This is not unlike Dr. Who between incarnations, is it? Waiting for Jon Pertwee to become Tom Baker.
You have suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, and you need to recover. 2025 is about profound recovery. You have Pluto with all his transformative power going through Aquarius, in your Twelfth House of soul, spirit and psyche. You are ready to be reborn.
Another key feature here is the mother and child in the window. Which mother and which child? Is this the mother of your son? Is this you with your own mother, when an infant? Is this the glittering promise of a baby in the advertisements of an I.V.F. clinic? It will be intensely personal for you, whatever it is.
Jupiter with all his hope, expansion, growth, healing and fulfilment is moving into your sector of children in June 2025. This includes babies, infants, schoolchildren, teenagers and younger adults. There is a marvelous new window of opportunity opening from June.
You also have Jupiter in Gemini just before in your Fourth House of mothers and the maternal bond; also, the family circle. This two-step is a clear signal for breakthroughs and answers. Later on, Uranus goes into Gemini, in the same Fourth House of your solar chart. This is traditionally the house of mother and child. 2025 looks like a gateway for you, once you have recovered from whatever has affected you so much. Rest, repair, recovery, recuperation and resurrection are the rules now.

In 2025, the South Node of karma moves into your opposite sign of Libra. There is a conflict ahead which will be resolved by peace-making. It will set up good karma for the future. It may also owe a lot to what happened 18 or 19 years, before. How will this resolve? A sense of humour and a cheerful outlook can remedy most situations, no matter if there has been conflict.
It’s rather like a grown-up striding into a situation where children have been fighting and hurt each other. ‘No then, now then, what’s all this about?’ is the classic phrase shortly before things are sorted out and the children are playing happily together again.
On a more serious, adult note – here we have a wounded person, the antagonist or attacker – and the peacemaker. The key thing is that the swords are removed, or it could all start up again. The tools which are, or were, part of the feud, need to go. You can decide what was being used or what might still be used. You will also rapidly find out in 2025 if you are the peacemaker, the aggressor or the victim in a situation.
The other thing to mention here is the long retrograde of Mars in Cancer. Mars is about disputes, feuds and differences. He is in Cancer, in your Fifth House, which rules courtship, the bedroom, babies, infants, children, teenagers and older adults. This transit is normally fleeting, but Mars is stuck, going backwards and forwards.

I should be receiving “Your Birthday” next week as I was fortunate enough to discover that my local bookshop can get it from Jonathan Ball publishers who have a branch here. I can’t wait to read it. I don’t have any children myself and am wondering whether I will finally meet a partner next year who already has adult children. I am already a Godmother to a sweet Aquarian.
Thank you so much for ordering Your Birthday. You want a partner and to become a stepmother, in 2025. You are a Sun Aries who does not have those kinds of transits. Yet, you do stand to gain from a bigger household and increased family circle from the second half of 2025. That could arguably involve a new man and his child moving into your home, or you moving into his. It’s not so much about sexual connection or marriage (even) as homemaking and family building. Try Astrology Delivery in the middle of next year and book on Cancer season.
