Neptune in Pisces to 2026

Neptune is in Pisces until 2026, but the patterns he makes in your astrology chart show you year-by-year updates. Neptune in Pisces, astrology and all your horoscope trends are revealed by 'stations' (standstills) but also by Neptune-Jupiter squares in 2019. How are you affected? What does your zodiac sign but also your personal birth chart tell you?

Neptune in Pisces has been in your life since 2011 and will stay in that sign until 2026. At its best, Neptune brings a vacation from the real world. The Neptune in Pisces cycle when managed correctly, can feel like a 15-year holiday from reality. If you let things slide, though, you may end up with classic Neptune issues. Feeling all at sea. Drifting. Floating. Getting in over your head. Losing your way.

The symbol for Neptune is a trident. It is also the logo for Club Med resorts. This amazing advertisement not only carries the trident, it also describes what the very best of Neptune in Pisces feels like. A holiday in your head.

At its most extreme, Neptune in Pisces can mean you depart reality to the point where you can’t function in any normal way. You end up so far removed from everyday life that you find yourself ‘Not waving, but drowning.’ This line from the famous poem by Stevie Smith sums up difficult Neptune experiences well.

Which Area of Your Life is Affected?

Your Sun Sign or Zodiac Sign shows the headlines of your life. If you are a Premium Member you will also have a personal birth chart, and any factors in Pisces there will reveal the private story of 2011-2026. I will go into this in more detail with you later. Floating Without Falling – Neptune in Pisces 2018-2019

This second Club Med advertisement with a Trident symbol in their logo – this time showing what it feels like to float on air. How do you float without falling, in the area of life relevant to your zodiac sign? Astrology can help. Just knowing the dates to watch, and what to expect, can make life much easier.

Handling Neptune in 2018, 2019

Neptune is associated with swimming. When Neptune turns direct, it can feel like you are moving forward, after a long period of treading water.

This is the case on Sunday November 25th (allow 24 hours either side for the world to catch up with itself). You will experience changes which suggest you are now in a position to switch direction in your life, in relation to the areas I’ve mentioned, above.

Are You a Premium Member?

If you are a Premium Member, you will have your personal birth chart, which will clearly show if you have any factors in Pisces. If you were born in the 1960’s, for example, you will have Neptune in Scorpio.

I’m now going to give you some dates from 2018 to 2026 which show months and years of escape.

This will not necessarily be about the area of life relevant to your usual Sun Sign or Zodiac Sign (unless you are an Aries, in which case you can double the intensity of everything I have listed for this cycle).

Do You Have Pisces Factors in Your Birth Chart?

If you do have Pisces factors in your personal birth chart, then they will fall in your Twelfth House. This is the house of secrets. Life behind the scenes. Your world below the surface. It rules everything that happens inside your mind, from dreaming to imagination. From psychologists to psychics. We associate the Twelfth House with everything which is invisible or unfathomable about you and your life. As you can imagine, if Neptune has been passing by since 2011, you may have been spending a great deal of time and energy on aspects of yourself and your world which nobody else can see.

For a detailed look at the Twelfth House, please see this feature I wrote on this area of your horoscope.

How Neptune Triggers Your Personal Birth Chart

Neptune moves very slowly across all 30 degrees of the zodiac sign Pisces, and will take his time to trigger (conjunct) Pisces factors in your horoscope.

November, December 2018 – Neptune at 13, 14 Pisces
January 2019 – Neptune at 14 Pisces
February 2019 – Neptune at 14, 15 Pisces
March 2019 – Neptune at 15, 16 Pisces
April 2019 – Neptune at 17 Pisces
May, June, July, August 2019 – Neptune at 18 Pisces
August, September 2019 – Neptune at 17 Pisces
September, October 2019 – Neptune at 16 Pisces
November, December 2019 – Neptune at 15, 16 Pisces

If you have factors at Pisces 14, 15, 16, 17 (for example, if you were born on March 6th, 7th, 8th you might have been born with Sun 15 Pisces 52, Sun 16 Pisces 52 or Sun 17 Pisces 52) then you can see how this story in your life – all about an escape from the real world – goes backwards and forwards.

People Born Around March 6th, 7th, 8th

Genevieve Morton - Neptune in Pisces to 2026If you were born around March 6th, 7th, 8th or know people who have those birthdays (all Pisces) then it will help to know that Neptune is ‘on’ the Sun in the chart. It’s Transiting Neptune conjunct the Sun, in astrology terms. It goes on for many months in 2019.

The Sun describes how people shine. What makes them stand out? What makes them brilliant. It can also show what they have to work on, about themselves, if things are not so brilliant! Neptune ‘on’ the Sun can be a time of great escapism. It can be hard to be down-to-earth or grounded. When Neptune arrives, having both feet firmly on the pavement can be really hard work.

Maserati also use a Trident in their advertising as it is the official logo of their famous, luxury car. This wonderful campaign featuring the beautiful model Genevieve Morton illustrates this point really well.

Do You Have Pisces Factors at 0 through 12?

If your personal birth chart shows factors at 0 through 12 degrees (you may have the Moon at 10 Pisces 29 for example) then you already know what it’s like to have this cycle in your life. In one of these years in particular – 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 or 2017 – you would have been floating, escaping from the real world and struggling to keep your feet on planet earth. The issue would have been a Twelfth House matter – so a secret. Life behind the scenes or below the surface.

Do You Have Pisces Factors at 16 through 29?

If so, Neptune is yet to fully trigger your personal birth chart. Yet, looking up the degree of your Pisces planets, asteroids and so on, will show you which year you need to make a particular effort to contain and control what is going on – behind closed doors – or inside your head.

Pisces Factors at 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 – Watch the Year 2020

If you have factors in Pisces at 16, 17, 18 then you will experience a replay or rewind of issues you were dealing with in 2019. If you have factors at 18, 19, 20 then in the year 2020 you may want to look up The Twelfth House again here.

Pisces Factors at 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 – Watch the Year 2021

King Triton - Neptune in Pisces to 2026If you have factors at 18, 19, 20 then I’m sure you can see why these cycles move very slowly as in 2021 you will revisit a chapter from 2020. If your Pisces factors are at 21, 22, 23 (for example Mercury at 21 Pisces 54) then the year 2021 will show you, in quite an obvious way, why you need to keep strong boundaries between non-reality and reality! This scene from the 1989 Disney classic The Little Mermaid shows King Triton (Neptune) at large. Life can often seem like an animated film, or a day in a Disney theme park, when you are going through a Neptune cycle.

Pisces Factors at 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 – Watch the Year 2022

If you have factors at 20, 21 then you will see a replay or rewind of the ‘film’ of your life from 2021 this year. If your Pisces factors are at 22, 23, 24, 25 (for example Venus at 23 Pisces 25) then you will experience the non-reality and escapism of Neptune in the year 2022.

Pisces Factors at 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 – Watch the Year 2023

If you have factors at 22, 23, 24, 25 then the year 2023 is a continuation of the vacation from regular, normal, ordinary, everyday life that you saw in the year 2022. If your Pisces factors are at 26, 27 then the year 2023 will feel brand new. You may want to go out of your way to ground yourself.

Pisces Factors at 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 – Watch the Year 2024

In 2024 we find Neptune passing through Pisces 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 degrees. If you have factors at 25, 26, 27 then the years 2023 and 2024 can be taken together. If at 27, then you’ll have the last of this cycle in January, February 2025. If you have factors at 28, 29 Pisces then you will see some repetition of the same story in February, March, October, November, December 2025 – and perhaps January 2026.

An In-Depth Guide to Neptune in Astrology

Discovered on September 23rd, 1846, Neptune’s position was predicted before it was found. In astrology, we use the circumstances around a planet’s discovery and naming, to find its meaning. These correspond with the Roman God or Goddess that gives the planet – or asteroid – its name.

Neptune rules prediction. Seeing across time and space with clairvoyance. Looking into the future. You can call it clever guesswork or intuition. Other realities! Yet – this is ultimately how Neptune was found. Through a sense of knowing.

This image of Neptune is from the Sousse Archaeological Museum. You can see his famous trident in this mosaic from Palermo (Regional Archaeological Museum Antonio Salinas).

Neptune ruled over oceans, rivers and fountains in Ancient Rome and was associated with sea horses, whales, all fish and dolphins.

“The Roman soothsayers always offered to him the gall of sacrificed horses and bulls,” according to the historian John Lempriere, “which in taste resembles the bitterness of the sea-water.” The connection between soothsaying and the sea is over 2000 years old.

Neptune and Guesswork – Peering into the Future

This very good website by astrologer Brad Kronen references this scientific ‘soothsaying’ which took place before a German astronomer used previous guesswork to find Neptune.

“Germany said they found it, then they discovered it. France said they told Germany where to look. England told France they came up with the whole thing to begin with,” Kronen writes.

Neptune and Blind Faith

Trusting a planet is there, is not too far removed from trusting that there is a God, or even a lamb of God. It takes faith. It takes inner vision. The German astronomer who eventually claimed Neptune was a religious man. Johann Gottfried Galle worshipped at the Moravian (Protestant) church in Breslau.

Hazy Vision, Second Sight and Beer Goggles

Every planet and asteroid has a sliding scale. At its peak Neptune is about spirituality – be it religious or not. We talk about blind faith, when we speak of Neptune. Eyesight is associated with this planet because under water, our vision distorts. The inner vision of soothsayers – clairvoyants – is also a variation on normal ‘sight.’ It can be called second sight. Neptune is associated with mysteries and mysticism. Neptune lends his name to the 7th and final movement of Gustav Holst’s The Planets: it is subtitled The Mystic.

The U2 song by Christian Bono She Moves in Mysterious Ways is a nod to this. It’s a Neptune anthem.

This planet is linked to alternative realities and other kinds of seeing. The phrase “I was blind but now I see” which is a Christian staple is Neptunian.

In astrology, as I’m sure you know, every symbol has a high point and low point.

Extending this, we find we talk about other kinds of distorted vision, with Neptune. Beer goggles and blind drunks are very much part of this planet’s symbolism.

Some 17 days after Neptune was discovered, William Lassell found Triton, Neptune’s largest moon. He funded his astronomy from his Liverpool beer brewery.

Smoking, Cigarettes, Marijuana, Illegal and Legal Highs

The Frenchman who also had a claim on Neptune had attended The School of Tobacco Application before turning to astronomy. His name was Le Verrier. They loved him so much in France they used him in chocolate advertisements, but he seems to have preferred cigarettes.

We associate mist, fog, haze, highs, altered states, smoke, puffs, clouds and vapours with Neptune. Vaping as well. Speaking of altered states, did you know that Queen Victoria saw a psychic in the year Neptune was discovered, and started the fashion for clairvoyants and mediums? From 1846 everybody was talking about spiritualism, just as they were talking about the guessing-game planet Neptune.

Queen Victoria, Psychics and Neptune

Queen Victoria saw the 11-year-old clairvoyant Georgiana Eagle on July 15th, 1846 and gave her an engraved gold watch in thanks. It was the beginning of the boom in spiritualism (mediumship) and psychics for the Victorians. The full story is told in Light: A Review of Psychic and Spiritual Knowledge and Research.

Absent Minds, Forgetfulness, Neptune and Asperger’s

John Couch Adams, yet another astronomer with a claim on Neptune, probably had Asperger syndrome. He had a poor memory and it may have contributed to his woolly approach to Neptune. Other astronomers beat him to it.

Anaesthetic and Neptune – Comfortably Numb

In astrology, as we’ve seen, the definition of a planet or asteroid as a symbol, comes from obvious associations between the God or Goddess it is named for, and other historic events in the year a planet is found. This kind of coincidence, or correlation, or correspondence, was called Synchronicity by Carl Jung.

In 1846 when Neptune was claimed, the American dentist William Morton removed a tooth from a man who had wanted to be hypnotised (another Neptune idea) to dull the pain. In the end, Morton put the man under sulfuric ether.

Two weeks later, a tumour came out of another man’s jaw. The patient later “sank into a state of insensibility.” Ether anaesthesia made its public debut in the same year that the French gave Neptune its hazy, misty, foggy, fuzzy name. A tumour came out of a woman’s arm, also using the numbing power of ether.

By 21st November 1846, as people were adjusting to the idea of a mysterious new planet (it would be firmly named Neptune by 1847) no less a man than Oliver Wendell Holmes suggested the word ‘anaesthesia’ to describe the ether vapour.

This brings us back to the idea of fumes again. So, cigarettes or the rising hot spring vapours above ancient Roman Baths. Nobody uses ether as an anaesthetic today, but it is a recreational drug. Polish peasants used to drink it at the turn of last century.

Neptune, Ether and the Oxford Dictionary

As a literary term, ether means: “The clear sky; the upper regions of air beyond the clouds.” Less formally, ether is ‘Air regarded as a medium for radio.’

The word ‘ether’ is Late Middle English: from Old French, or via Latin from the Greek aithēr which means ‘upper air’ and comes down to us from the word aithein which means ‘burn, shine.’

The English put forth the name Oceanus for the new planet in 1846 but in the end, Urbain Jean Joseph Le Verrier had Neptune accepted. It is so typical of astrology that the word Verrier means ‘glassblower’ in French!

Neptune and Pisces – Global Warming, Climate Change and The Cloud

Neptune is the ruler of Pisces in astrology and it is extremely unusual to find Neptune in Pisces, his own sign – but that is where he has been since 2011 and where he remains.

Neptunus, from the Latin, means “to become damp, cloudy.” Pisces is, of course, a water sign. I don’t need to point out that the years Neptune has been in Pisces, have coincided with climate change, global warming and the melting of our ice-caps. The Neptune in Pisces years have also coincided with The Cloud. You may be using it now.

Going Under and Coming Around – How Neptune is Your Astrological Dentist

On 1st October 1846, Le Verrier sent letters to three European observatories proposing Neptune as a name and the symbol of the Trident to portray it, in astronomy. (It is the same in astrology, too, as you probably know).

The word “trident” comes from the Latin – tridentis – and tri means three, and dentes means teeth. King Neptune carried a trident as his weapon. Yet, we can also see a connection here with dentists, and that takes us back to anaesthetic. Le Verrier was an astronomer, not an astrologer, but he was ‘doing’ astrology when he came up with that name. We link dentists to the idea of going under – and coming around!

When you go under the water in a Club Med swimming pool you escape from the real world. If you are in the ocean, you might find yourself going under the waves and feeling comfortably numb. This is your holiday from reality and it is bliss. However, you also have to come up and come around – back to the airport and back to work. This is a variation on a theme, using the Neptune trident symbol as a metaphor.

If you go for a ride in a Maserati with the windows down and the wind in your hair, you can also escape from reality as you gaze at the famous trident on the bonnet.

Disneyland is not reality; it is a kind of reality. At a certain point, as with Club Med, you have to stop watching re-runs of The Little Mermaid or buying King Triton toys at the Disney store and go home.

These ideas about blocking the real world, and losing yourself in a film, and gazing at the hypnotic effect of spa lights are all related. They are the high end, or nice end, of Neptune as dentist. Have you ever had a tooth pulled under gas, or with an injection? You’ve experienced the tri-dentist.

Everyone loves Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. The Trident of Poseidon (the Greek forerunner to Neptune) is a key feature of that film. At a certain point, though, the cinema lights go up and you have to remember Johnny Depp is just an actor. Even the bad teeth are fake.

Neptune in Pisces square Jupiter in Sagittarius in 2019

A square in astrology describes two planets at sharp angles to each other. You can’t square what they represent. It is not a fit. It’s uncomfortable and it makes you want to do something about it. In 2019 we will all experience Neptune in Pisces square Jupiter in Sagittarius.

This isn’t so bad, as Jupiter is a helper and a healer. Jupiter in Sagittarius is about opportunities to travel – more easily, at greater distances and more often. Neptune in Pisces, as we’ve seen, is about escaping from the real world. Being comfortably numbed, to quote Pink Floyd. Having a different sort of vision.

In 2019, we will wake up to realise we cannot square our new travel opportunities with climate change and global warming. (The kind that leads to the melting of the ice caps and flooding, too.)

I am writing this on November 25th, 2018 on the Neptune Station (or standstill) in Pisces. Next year is a long way off. Yet, you could predict the most fantastic changes in the airline, cruise, ferry and car industries – perhaps with currency exchange rates on our side too – at the same time that we realise the waters are rising.

This is how you predict the future in astrology. On January 12th-16th, 2019 we will not be able to square the new travel boom with storms, record rainfall and floods. The situation repeats June 15th-22nd, 2019. Bear that in mind if you are planning to travel around those periods. Double-check the weather.

  1. Hey Jessica,
Stellium in Pisces, including Jupiter and other stuff. Should I be excited about this? I know I need to remind myself to stay a grounded.
What else do you think I should focus on?

    1. Jupiter, Juno, Ceres and Vulcano are all in Pisces in your Twelfth House. Everything that serves you is below the surface. Pisces rules the two fish who are hidden in the depths of the ocean. The Twelfth House is ruled by Neptune himself, in charge of what lies beneath the waves. Jupiter and Juno were actually married in Roman mythology – we associate this pair with useful commitments and beneficial promises. Ceres is about tremendous power and influence. Vulcano is about the control one gains from self-control. A big part of who you are, and what you do with your life, is never really understood or seen by other people. You may already have discovered, in your teenage years, that you were a natural meditator, hypnotist, dream analyst or psychic. There is also a good case for saying strongly Pisces/Twelfth House people are drawn towards theoretical physics – the realm of the imagination – so it’s not just about the Tarot cards or the lotus position! Essentially, your unconscious mind, soul, spirit or whatever you want to call it, is a dominant part of who you are. The Neptune transit goes for many years and you won’t feel it all the time, but as this planet is only roughly halfway through the cycle you may want to look back at the last few years and ask yourself what works, in terms of matters psychic, psychological or scientific. What has confused you? (Ditch that). If you find yourself feeling lost, dazed and confused you need to come back to simple things like gardening, walking and cooking. Yet, it would be a shame not to use this historic cycle to meditate, at the very least, or try spiritual healing. Anything connected with your light body, aura and chakra system, actually.

      1. Jessica,
That was scarily accurate in an awesome way! You just described me very intimately. My ex used to say I was a study of contrasts. Simple, but incredibly complex. My teenage years were definitely more complicated by what you mentioned. I feel everything so deeply, and being able to “see” others “stuff” is a blessing in many ways. Not always, I’m not going to sugarcoat it. Learning how to balance that is hard. I have also been through so much personally. I actually lost that ability completely about 2years ago. When I started healing myself, it started coming back. I blocked it. I wasn’t ready for it . It has only been in the last year that I was able to handle it again. Slowly.
The theoretical physics comment made me laugh out loud. That is so me. Head in the clouds ,but I still need logic. It’s that study in contrast thing again. Maybe that is why I love studying anatomy and physiology in school so much. I call the human body “ the magical mystery tour”. It is truly amazing.
I am still working on a bunch of stuff. Let’s talk spiritual healing. I was actually thinking about that yesterday. Not even joking. Suggestions ? I am so close to being able to release everything. I can feel it. I am trying to learn to meditate. It’s not always easy for me. I guess I am when I am “off in the clouds”, but I’m not really. I feel so hopeful about the future, and I don’t want to get in my own way. You know the Japanese art form called Kintsugi? I feel like that is what I have done, and continue to do , but on myself. Stronger than ever, and I am ready to truly open myself up to anything and everything.

        1. Thank you for the feedback on your personal birth chart. The human body certainly is ‘the Magical Mystery Tour’ and that might be your path, during these cycles. Spiritual healing would be a good example of that!

  2. Jessica, thank you for this post! It seems to explain a lot of what’s been utterly topsy-turvy in my life going back from 2010 to 2018. I just have not been able to get my footing or my bearings with finances, work, relationships or my home. I sometimes describe it to people as my “running in mud years” or my “banana peel wipe-out years.” To wit:

I have had wild swings in income from very high to, literally, no income in 2017.

I have had 4 different jobs from 2010-2015 (then same job late 2015 – present which is my own company that I am working very hard to nurture and grow).

    I have moved house 5 times across 3 cities from 2010 – 2018.

I have not had a meaningful relationship to speak of since 2011 🙁

I felt as though in late 2016 and into 2017 everything just came to a screeching halt. I tried and tried to get work and get things back on track and just nothing was working. I did use that time to help an elderly relative of mine (which kind of turned into a full time “job” – albeit unpaid – for a while) so I suppose that break was opportunistic.

One positive that has come out of this is that I renewed my faith and this has come strongly into focus and has helped me tremendously during these difficult years. Some would call the experiences I’ve outlined here a dark night of the soul and they wouldn’t be wrong.

I hope this phase is coming to an end soon for me. Any words of advice for my outlook going forward would be helpful – thank you!

    1. Thank you. You are strongly Aquarian with the Sun, Mars and Saturn in that sign, in the Eleventh House of groups, tribes, communities and friendships. You are slowly entering a mini Age of Aquarius, with Jupiter and Saturn entering that sign at Christmas 2020 and Pluto also in Aquarius from 2023. The long-term picture is about important involvement with a network, circle, team, club, society and so on. You will be the supplier – giving this community of people what they need. This may be paid or unpaid work but it will be the making of you. In 2019, we find Jupiter the planet of opportunities and solutions, in Sagittarius. Ceres is also in Sagittarius in 2019. You were born with Ceres at 15 Sagittarius, so you will have your Ceres Return, and also Jupiter Conjunct Ceres. This is a huge year in terms of your travel agenda, or your plans to relocate. You’ll be involved with tremendous regional, cultural or global differences and learn a lot. You’ll benefit from one chance after another to explore your own region better, or the world. You may very well decide to study, formally or informally. For more on next year, look up the Ninth House on Search, because this is where you will be striking deals, making compromises and snapping up opportunities and solutions not possible for 12 years.

    2. OMG, LS your life sounds a lot like my other half. He is Aquarian, 4.2.61. I being a typical Capricorn 12.01.82, have become increasingly frustrated with his situation. Some trials have been self -inflicted stupidity on his behalf, such a pranging his Ute last year with insurance lapsing, but others such as being sacked to make room for a bosses mate in August this year was not his fault. His life for the past 19yrs I have known him has been marked by tall poppy syndrome thwarting his career. Hence he’s gone into business a few times but struggled apart from a few short periods of pleasant cash flows. We have also taken time out to look after his sister who has a early onset dementia, arranging finances and income protection benefits to stop her from loosing her property. Now he’s trying to resurrect his courier business, it’s slow going with clients and doing business administration and managing finances properly. I hope things work out for both you and my other half next year and in the future. AD

  3. Hi Jessica, years ago an astrologer told me I should always read the forecasts for my sun — Taurus, my ascendant — Scorpio and my moon — Pisces. They all resonate with me on some level. But I’m never sure how transits affect my ascendant and moon. So with Neptune in Pisces, should I look for its effects on my emotional/spiritual life but not my family/career sectors? I’ve wondered that, too, about new/full moons and mercury retrogrades, etc.

Another thing that confuses me is whether I’m Aries or Taurus. I’ve always identified as Taurus — definitely have that slow, steady personality but then your annual report had my dates as an Aries. How do you know when you fall on a cusp which one you are?

    1. Lilla, can you check your annual report please, as you should have chosen (and received) the report for Sun Taurus. If there are any issues with that – as Mercury Retrograde is with us – please contact Support. I’ve looked at your birth chart here and you should definitely be reading the daily, weekly and monthly predictions for Taurus. No other sign. The Neptune transit you are experiencing now works on two levels. First of all, in your Taurus chart, it allows you to escape from the real world through particular friendships and groups of people. You have been in a bubble since 2011, which may have been social media or perhaps friends who help you to lose yourself in a different kind of life experience. In your birth chart, you have been experiencing Neptune going through your Twelfth House, which describes your hidden agenda. Your secrets. What you do below the surface. Again, for 7 or 8 years now, nothing has been real. A simple example of this, is in fact the internet, web-based friendships, Facebook (even if you do not use it, other people do) and the unreality of presenting your name, face and words out there – yet likely, not presenting what is actually real and true! I could go on, but for now, have a look at the Eleventh House on Search because that is where you have been experiencing the bubble. You are strongly Aries, by the way. You have a stellium, or unusually high cluster, of horoscope factors in that sign. Look up the First House too, on Search. That is where you ‘live.’

  4. Hi Jessica
What an amazing article! I was definitely ‘Neptuned’ In 2013 when I met my last husband! This lasted for 5 years until I left him this year. I can honestly say the only way to describe the experience was that everyday I felt like I was living in a dream but not in a good way it was an absolute nightmare! I was living in Spain in a beautiful village in a beautiful villa so from the outside it looked like I had the perfect life but reality was that it was horrific. He was physically and verbally abusive, he destroyed all my belongings (everything I owned) and totally controlled my life. I felt like I was in a prison. The only things that kept me sane was reading (I just read and read and read hundreds of books) swimming and daydreaming! Well planning my escape! I just wanted to know that as Neptune has passed my Sun at 10 degrees will I experience something similar in years to come when Neptune conjuncts my Moon? I want to be prepared as I can’t go through that again! I also posted a comment on the Mars article regarding my career, I was thinking of writing a book can you see anything in my chart regarding my career? I’m currently self employed in a job that I love but I would love to do something else aswell. Thankyou xxx

    1. Thank you. It sounds as if you were going through a Neptune transit – living in a dream – but also a Pluto transit – being controlled by your former husband. You were born with the North Node at 19 Aries and South Node at 19 Libra and Pluto has been going backwards and forwards over 19 Capricorn, making what is known as a T Square. You can look up T Squares on Search or elsewhere in astrology books. They actually look like a T shape in your chart and feel tight and tense. Pluto will move on. He always does. Pluto people who are dominating – who take over – and who take – always meet their downfall. It’s something we’ve seen in astrology since 1930 when Pluto was first discovered, actually. I’m sure you know Pluto was himself demoted to dwarf planet in 2006! The escapism of reading, swimming and daydreaming was most certainly Neptune hovering around your Sun at Pisces 10 and Minerva at Pisces 11. Neptune has now well and truly moved on. You won’t see that same combination of Pluto and Neptune again – ever – as it was rather like the mechanism on a safe – and the combination will not repeat. Start writing now. Jupiter (great timing, natural good fortune, help and problem-solving) is moving into Sagittarius and your Ninth House of publishing for the first time in 12 years. There will be so many opportunities to enter competitions, join writing workshops, experiment with ebooks and so on.

  5. Hi Jessica. Do I have something to look forward to having Pisces in my north node? I’ve had the same dream job for many years, could this trigger it?

    Thanks, as always!

    1. Your North Node at 22 Pisces in the Twelfth House of secrets, mysteries, life behind the scenes – and the unconscious mind – is not really about career. It is about all that you hide and cover up, and much of this is karmic in nature as the Nodes are about past life experience. You have incarnated to learn what it feels like to conceal things from others, one more time. Also, perhaps, to recognise the huge part your unconscious mind plays in programming your lifestyle and job. Nothing will be an issue for you until Neptune goes to 22 Pisces in 2022 and then you may want to find out more about how your North Node operates. It is of course opposite the South Node in your Sixth House of work and also the body. The shape you are in, and how that affects your workload and sense of duty and service to others. You’ll find out so much about this in 2022, but you could also look up Virgo, Pisces, South Node, North Node, Sixth House, Twelfth House on Search now to go more deeply into the pattern.

  6. Jessica, what about transitting Nepune square natal sun? I am experiencing that and have been for a while. It is uncomfortable to be feeling lost and at sea. But I also understand this transit will conclude. My question is when and how to make the best of it

  7. Dear Jessica,

I only have Vesta in 24deg and Moon in 28deg in Pisces. My Moon almost oppose my Sun in Virgo. What can I expert from conjuction with Neptun in Pisces in 2021 and 2023?

    Thank you!

    1. It will take many years for Neptune to reach Vesta and your Moon in Pisces in the Twelfth House. Yet, you would benefit from knowing what it means to have Vesta in Pisces in the Twelfth. You unconsciously invite situations where one male, and two or more females, play out a harem scenario where the male is the focus for a great deal of rivalry and competition between the females. The Twelfth House is about what lies beneath. What a truth drug might reveal. What is in our locked filing cabinet at home or in the bottom drawer! Vesta is about one male (usually a man) and two or more females (usually women) who can end up in quite toxic situations unless all concerned recognise what is going on and try to make the ‘harem’ situation work. You sometimes see this with baby boys around whom the mother, grandmother, aunt and sister dance. Neptune going over Vesta will confuse things for a while – you will need boundaries with others then – firm rules about a line that should not be crossed. The Moon describes your need to be needed. In Pisces in the Twelfth House you are the mother figure behind the scenes or below the surface who cares, protects and nurtures without being recognised or seen. Neptune going over your Moon is likely to heighten your psychic ability as Neptune describes the invisible world of time and space, accessed by spirit, and soul. You will need to stay grounded when you reach this transit, because it is notoriously destabilising. Alcohol, drugs and even prescribed drugs can affect you at that time. We’re talking 2023-2024.

  8. Hi Jessica I have saturn 14 pisces and neptune 17 scorpio so sounds like this is going to impact me directly for jan feb and then april -june next year. Then towards the end of the transit it will conjunct my ceres and chiron. Chiron in pisces transit was not much fun. Will the neptune pisces on my pisces chiron play out in a similar way do you think or is it a completely different vibe this time? Many thanks.

    1. Transiting Neptune conjunct your natal Saturn at 14 Pisces in the Twelfth House is an immediate focus. You also have Uranus at 14 Virgo and Pluto at 15 Virgo so Neptune will also oppose natal Uranus and Pluto, which are in your Sixth House. The issue for you is that you were born with Saturn opposite Uranus and Pluto, so there is an inner conflict between the secret burden you hide (Saturn in the Twelfth House) and your paid work, unpaid work or full-time study (Uranus and Pluto in the Sixth House). You are also likely to find that your body carries the inner tug-of-war so that when you are out of action, for whatever reason, it not only interrupts your work or study, you may find you are unconsciously generating a situation which stops you from doing your duty, or performing a service – for a very good reason. You may want to read more widely around this opposition in your chart. Saturn in the Twelfth House in Pisces is common in the birth charts of people who carry a heavy load, beneath the surface, or behind the scenes. It’s intensely personal and highly sensitive and it’s a matter for you. Yet, every time you take control of work (Pluto in Virgo) or try to invent, produce and originate projects or plans at work (Uranus in Virgo) along comes Saturn. The transit of Neptune across this pattern in your chart will slowly but surely dissolve whatever brick walls you have built to defend and protect yourself over the years. Water makes stone crumble over time. You will need to question what you constructed to make yourself feel safer and perhaps restructure your life and particularly your inner life so that you still feel defended against who/what you fear, but in a new way. The opposition of Neptune to natal Uranus and Pluto is your excuse to look at why you work, why you do housework (even), how you work, for whom you work and what it means to you. Being more strongly aware of your ‘duty’ statement in life can help you keep things clear, because when Neptune comes along you may be unconsciously getting in your own way regarding that. We sometimes see people who have been diligent employees or very tightly controlled professionals or business people, developing drinking, drug or even prescribed drug habits which powerfully affect their usual performance. That’s one outcome. You will ‘cross your own bridge’ with Neptune in Pisces and have your own experience, but it will make you look at what you cover up, hide, do behind the scenes or below the surface – and also the relationship between mind, body, spirit and work.

  9. Hi Jessica,

I’ve been curious about the effect of having Minerva, Vulcano and Venus so close together in Pisces. Are you able to shed any light on that story?

    Many thanks!

    1. It’s a triple conjunction of Minerva, Vulcano and Venus, separated by just one degree, in the emotional sign of Pisces, in the hidden world of the Twelfth House. Minerva is wisdom. Vulcano is power through powerful self-control. Venus is complicated relationships. For you, the secret crush or hidden desire for someone – or unexpressed emotion – is a recurring theme but it rumbles down below, like a volcano. You probably have complex dreams. There may also be quite unconscious longing (Venus) or deeply buried envy – also Venus – and with this combination in your Twelfth House it might be useful to find out more about the unconscious in general, via Freud or Jung.

  10. Hi Jessica – I don’t have any factors in Pisces does this mean I will feel this transit to a smaller degree? I do resonate with the “which area of your life is affected” pertaining to Libra. As I look back since 2011 I have found myself experiencing a general fogginess in these areas of my life (Lifestyle. Workload. Housework. Wellbeing. Fitness. Health. Drugs. Alcohol. Medication. Food. Duty. Service. Daily Life). I was always a very organized person, able to multitask and with a general sense of enthusiasm. But over the last 7 years that hasn’t really been the case and I have found myself indulging in daily habits that don’t uplift (like smoking which I hate and want to quit and drinking too much – which had never been a problem for me) that make me feel sluggish and like I am behind the 8 ball – but feeling like I need it to cope with worry etc… I wonder when and how I will muster the energy to regain my get up and go 🙂

    1. You are having a classic Libra cycle with your smoking and drinking issues. It’s not the end of the world, because you don’t have any Pisces factors, so it’s less extreme than it might otherwise be. Yet, you need to find an outlet where you can escape from the real world that does not make you feel foggy and sluggish. Meditation would be perfect. Try these two Betty Shine – Mind Medicine Room

  11. I have no pisces factors in my chart….is this good or bad? What should I expect with neptune in pisces?

    1. No Pisces factors just means that your psychic experiences, dreams, counselling, Tarot card readings and secrets don’t rule you. They don’t say who you are, or what you do. The reasons you’re lacking Pisces is that you are so strongly Scorpio. You are far more about the money, the property, the charity, the collector’s items or the business. The Neptune transit won’t really affect that, but you will have to spend the next few years radically rethinking your approach to all that you earn, own or owe and becoming a lot more independent.

  12. Hi Jessica,
I only have Ops at 21 Pisces, I don’t know what it means. I also have my sun at 21 Aries and I always wondered how those are connected. Plus a ton of planets around the 13 degree where Neptune is now, in different signs though.
    Thank you so much!

    1. Ops in Pisces in the Twelfth House describes your ability to always be an optimist about secret matters, hidden concerns, or anything behind the scenes or below the surface. It does not mean life is always easy behind closed doors, but you can certainly bring about a good and useful ending. It will take some time for Neptune to reach Ops, but when this happens, there will indeed be a buried or concealed issue, where you have some work to do – particularly as life could become confusing for a few months. Try to keep it clear and keep it real. Neptune is aspecting anything you have at 13 degrees – right opposite your Moon at 13 Virgo draws attention. Temporary situations involving people, organisations or trends which are essentially invisible, mysterious or hidden are having a direct impact on your ‘need to be needed’ at work, or with your unpaid work or studies. These transits will pass, but while Neptune is there, you may want to make a special effort to stick to a daily routine, keep your feet on the ground, and watch what you put into your body.

  13. Wow! I’ve come so far I hope I continue to keep myself grounded through all of this. What is your best advice with my stellium in Pisces throughout this time?

    1. Strongly Pisces people with Neptune in Pisces in their Twelfth House do best when they keep the real world, real – actually. The less time you spend on Instagram, Facebook and the rest, the better you will be. Pisces is a sensitive and emotional water sign with almost no boundaries and can ‘feel’ their way into and out of people and groups, without realising what is going on. Too much time online can take a toll and there can be a loss of grounding and centring – focussing as well. So if you feel that classic Neptune sensation of being adrift or all at sea, that’s why. What works really well for strongly Pisces people is boring, sensible stuff like gardening, walking in the park or making soup!

  14. Hi Jessica,

I’m totally distressed due to my haunting past. I had made a big lifestyle change in May where I had to come out of certain habits, patterns, beliefs and relationships. There was a person whom I was involved with and since my priorities shifted I had to leave the relationship. She is still not able to come to terms with it and the issues with her are still lingering. I have changed and I don’t want to go back, I want to make up to my family, my kids. I have pulled back and stopped reacting. But I’m very stressed as sometimes she threatens and disrespect, I don’t want my family to get affected.
What is the best way forward? I know that she’s deeply hurt but being aplogetic doesn’t work with her and also we work together, so it is highly political.

    Thanks,
    VSN

    1. You have Pluto, Saturn and the South Node of karma in your Seventh House of ex-lovers. You also have (in the other chart I use for you) Ceres going across Scorpio, which rules sex, lovers and marriage. This does get better. Take a deep breath and hang in there. The complicated questions here about your ex, but also your partner and family, will be over by the third week of January. Ceres is about compromise, give and take, sharing and fair outcomes for everybody. There will be a new world from the third week of January with her but also with your partner and family. Looking further ahead, you will see a huge improvement in the situation from December 2019 when Jupiter enters Capricorn and in 2020 you will have the ultimate solution. You have apologised. It has not worked. You may need to seek outside advice on this from a counsellor, telephone help service like Samaritans (where you are) or perhaps a psychologist. You have learned a lesson. You won’t forget it.

  15. Hi Jessica,

I have my Moon at 29.45 Pisces and am concerned about its opposition to my Mars 8 Virgo, my Jupiter 22 Virgo, my Pluto 23 Virgo, and finally Fortuna at 16 Virgo in the coming years…. what can I do to stay physically healthy and grounded?

    1. Neptune slowly crossing Pisces in opposition to your Virgo factors and conjuncting your Pisces factors is just an ongoing message to monitor your use of prescribed and also recreational drugs, and/or alcohol. Anything which numbs you, essentially. Be right across what you put into your body, from cigarettes to the contraceptive pill. The situation will only be important when Neptune actually crosses to those exact degrees, which you can see any time on this website. Have a look at food as well. Astrology is about life management. You have awareness now of what substances might do to you physically that also affect your state of mind (for example) or energy – so you’ll be across that – and can sidestep any issues. If you realise that Neptune is about distorted vision, other realities, escaping from the ordinary and everyday world, feeling numb to physical sensations, going into another space – you get the picture. Even if you normally get away with drinking or taking drugs, when you have Neptune opposing Sixth House (body factors) placements it can be really easy to be sent ‘out’ by the cycle. So just be aware!

  16. 8 positions in Pisces that form a Yod with Chiron smack in the middle of the Pisces. I’ve been feeling this spaced out, drugged up feeling for years. Actually have to take a diuretic water pill to flush excess water to keep my blood pressure down. Had an episode back in early start of this where I disassociated from myself and felt like I was outside my body for a period of time. I force myself to to stay grounded but it’s glorious to escape and check out. I had an astrologer tell me to be deeply careful during this Neptune time as I’m potentially in a position to slip off into neverland. Your thoughts would be most welcome!

    1. I would agree about Neptune transiting your chart, but also natal Neptune too. Prescribed drugs or recreational drugs and/or alcohol are worth monitoring and everything from a contraceptive pill to the chemical impact of colourings and flavourings (e-numbers) is also worth watching. Cigarettes are another obvious one. Pluto at 8 Virgo in the Sixth House of health opposite Chiron at 6 Pisces in the Twelfth House of the unconscious mind suggests you unconsciously or unknowingly program your body to deliver events or situations which your soul requires, but you are not consciously making happen. I will leave it to you to figure that one out. Your dreams may tell the truth there as dreams reflect the unconscious.

  17. Hello Jessica!

Wonderful post as always! I was waiting for a Neptune post since currently Neptune in Pisces at 14 is quincunx my natal sun in Libra at 14. Since Neptune is lingering at this degree I would like to know what this means for me. Once Neptune moves to 15 does this mean I am free of this influence because Neptune will not return to 14 again?

    1. Thank you. Neptune in Pisces transiting your Twelfth House quincunx the Sun in Libra in your Seventh House is really about how your unconscious mind programs the relationship you have with your former, current or potential partner. Perhaps, how you unconsciously program competition or conflict with the person you see as the other side, or the enemy. Your dreams can tell you so much at this time. It is worth writing them down. Yes, when Neptune steadily moves past 15, 16 Pisces the situation will be over. It is also possible that a situation below the surface, behind the scenes, or top-secret in terms of its status, is also affecting how you see this particular man or woman in your life. Have a look at the Twelfth House on Search when you finish this, because this is where Neptune is at large and this is what is impacting your relationship, or your conflict.

  18. This was fascinating. I have Pisces factors at 1°, 7° and 9° and I had issues all through 2018! I hope I can get clarity and back to reality in 2019.

  19. Hi Jessica,
I find Neptune really really fascinating. I have Neptune 28° Sagittarius & from your article it looks like I should pay attention to the house of marriage and contractual agreements. I also read on your website about neptune and imagery. I am meditating quite a bit these days & not entirely sure how but it is helping navigate the chaos of real world.

Any special comments about how to work with Neptune? Also what do you mean by ‘north node’ being helpful in this neptune/mars weather?

    1. You have Neptune at 28 Sagittarius in your Ninth House of travel and travel in the mind. You are a natural explorer or migrant. Even if you never move from your home town you would learn about other countries and cultures and their belief systems and it would change your life for the better. Sagittarius rules all these things. Look up the Ninth House on Search when you finish reading this to see where the potential is in 2019. It is dazzling. Jupiter crossing 28 Sagittarius in the final stages of 2019 will give you an opportunity not possible in 12 years to take a holiday from the real world and expand your mind, spirituality, knowledge and experience of the world. You could easily travel, move or emigrate then or make a commitment to a person from a totally different nationality who would be your teacher, guide or mentor.

  20. Hi Jessica I have 14 degrees pisces what can you tell me aout Neptune on Chiron thank you

    1. You have a lifelong pattern of pushing the boundaries with everything that is below the surface, hidden, secret or mysterious about yourself and your life. You like to see what you can get away with. You educate other people about that. When you pull off what is supposed to be impossible or outrageous, others realise – the goal posts changed. The Twelfth House can tell you more about the ‘what’ of this, if you look up Search. It is common in the lives of people who are Tarot readers, psychics, mediums, astral travellers – yet also those who operate behind the scenes with no credit or recognition. The invisible women or men! People who keep massive secrets, even from their families, are also classic Chiron in Pisces types. Neptune conjunct this will blur things, confuse the issues, take you into another space that is not real, distort things, and – it may be smart to resist doing anything dramatic on this transit. Neptune can be a delightful escape from the real world but when it moves off Chiron you may be left standing with an episode that just does not fit any more. If you are involved with the occult or the spirit world be very cautious as Neptune removes all known barriers and boundaries with spirit. Unless you know what you are doing it can be like an aquarium with no rules.

  21. Hi Jessica,

As you can see, I have got a packed stellium in Pisces. How will Neptune affect the stellium?

    1. You’re already familiar with the impact, actually. You will have gone through a patch when alcohol, prescribed drugs (like painkillers) or illegal drugs had a heavy impact on you. Even if you managed to avoid that, then you would have gone through a long period when your psychic experiences, mediumship, dreams or meditation took over parts of your everyday waking life. By now you should be mastering the situation. So rather than floating around in this/getting lost – you can control it, contain it and use it to help you. Everybody needs a holiday from the real world. You included.

  22. Hi Jessica,
How does Neptune conjunct my south node , opposite my north node affect me? I also noticed that I have several planets at 14-16 degrees.
    Your interpretation is greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks
    TG

    1. Neptune ‘across’ your Nodes, as they say in astrology, is really about understanding how your past life experiences with your workload and body (Virgo) affect just about everything else, as you also have so many chart factors hooked into your Nodes, TG. You were very likely in the army, navy or air force when service and duty had to co-exist with the very real needs your body had. Gruelling training, for example, or just basic things like the food. If you were in a female incarnation, you have been in domestic service, so your body (your knees for a start) affected what you could or could not do. There are many variations on the Virgo Node theme, but these are two of the most common. If you have very strong feelings about housework and keeping your home clean and tidy, or the garden, there’s a clue right there! (Either for or against, most likely). You might also find in this life that your body ‘speaks’ to you so strongly and has a big impact on what you can and cannot do with your workload, unpaid work, or how you choose to conduct your lifestyle as a whole. Neptune crossing this big pattern in your chart can be confused and confusing – for a time – so it helps to ground. Be really aware of what you put into your body, from the smallest homeopathic remedy to the biggest dose of sugar or any other substance as it will have a more profound impact as Neptune circles that spot in your chart.
