1. Hi Jessica, Can you elaborate on how my Neptune and Uranus together fall into conflict and how they resolve? I’m not sure what aspect they form natally here.

   Neptune is in Capricorn Uranus Saggitarius is in my chart and trying to work out how it will affect my life. Financially I’ve had a tough couple of years and without jinxing myself I don’t think I really care of it gets any worse (I’ve become much less materialistic!). Wondering if this means things will get easier though.

   I did have a very bad accident couple of days ago (several broken bones and injuries) and have totalled a car and getting insurance. Not much but I wonder if that’s connected.

   1. Thank you. I’ve seen some Neptune events in my life but that Harry-Meghan (Henry-Rachel) wedding took the cake. Quite literally. Okay! The 2, 3, 4 pattern in Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn in your chart is about a life reshape, now through 2019. Scorpio is your money. Sagittarius is your next holiday or relocation. It is also about places and people foreign to you. Capricorn is about your career or unpaid work. You have Uranus going 2, 3, 4 through Taurus and Chiron going 2, 3, 4 through Aries.    1. Saturn at 2 Leo, Uranus at 2 Scorpio make a perfect square in your chart from the Fifth House of children and younger people, to the Eighth House of finance, property, charity and business. This is where fear, hard knocks and caution in your life regarding the next generation (to be a parent or not to be a parent) comes right up against the legacy you leave, and the legacy you inherit. Uranus at 2 Taurus is going to create a Grand Cross there in 2018, early 2019 so be aware. Don’t worry about Neptune, he’s too far away. Do focus really hard on the will you have made and the referencing you get in the wills of others. This stretches into issues like any mortgage or life insurance of course for obvious reasons, NP. 4. hmmm – I have Uranus 17 Scorpio and Neptune 17 Sag. A bit goal of mine is to be free of my mortgage by paying it off as early as possible. Do you see any other things to look out for?

   1. Jupiter across 17 Scorpio in 2018 is your big helper there, and he will also semi-sextile Neptune along the way. He is very close now, hovering at just 16 degrees of Scorpio, so this really is the year to try and use every single offer and option you are being given, with money, possessions, business, accommodation and the rest. This cycle is really a door-opener and it is amazing how the smallest or most casual favour can actually end up delivering what you need. The rule with this cycle is show up, look willing, keep smiling and stay open – your chances are excellent if you want to pay this off.

You actually have a stellium in Sagittarius in your Ninth House, which describes travel, foreign people and places, emigration, university and college, workshops, education, publishing, the worldwide web and all those trips (and head trips) you will take in your life. It feels natural to you to explore this and although it may not necessarily always be smooth sailing, I am sure you would never want to stop sailing into uncharted waters. You are a natural explorer, in fact, and in 2019 you will be happy to know that the door will open to one of the best and biggest trips, or moves, in many years.

   My question relates to the sixth house in my chart, the comments section in the sixth house blog is now closed so I hope you can answer for me here. I have been diagnosed with breast cancer in the last week. This has come as a complete shock and turned me and my world upside down. You have mentioned Reiki to me in a post way back and I was wondering if astrology can see what treatments and or angles might be useful so that I can stick it out.

   1. I am so sorry to hear this news which must have been a huge shock. My first response to you is that several of my friends have been through breast cancer and although it is so incredibly hard to deal with – they are stronger and more powerful for it today. For anything connected with the body, we go to Virgo and the Sixth House of your chart, as you mention. Let’s take a closer look. You have Jupiter at 3 Virgo, the Moon at 26, Saturn at 21, Minerva at 14, Apollo at 7 and the North Node at 7. That’s a stellium, as this is an unusually high number of factors all in your Sixth House of mind, body and spirit. The big one here is transiting (travelling) Pluto at 21 Capricorn. He is making an exact trine to your Saturn at 21 Virgo, and that can only happen every 240+ years so if this feels like a crossroads, it most certainly is. Pluto will challenge you to use all your willpower and self-control to handle your body in a new way. Pluto transits can feel as if something or someone more powerful than you has come along to take over, and yet the trick is to summon up all your inner strength and resources, to become the mistress of your own destiny, your own body and your own lifestyle. It will actually be the making of you. Nobody expects you to do this alone so along with your medical treatment, you should definitely find a Reiki or other spiritual healer to assist.    1. You have Proserpina at 18 Scorpio in your Eighth House of finance, business, charity and property so are a natural go-between in family or relationship situations where there is money, a house, company or apartment at stake. In fact you may have done this as a child or girl – Proserpina was the ‘maiden’ who was the piggy-in-the-middle between Pluto her husband and Ceres her mother. Symbolically, we often find ourselves keeping two sides happy, or keeping two organisations content, with this placement. I mention Proserpina because Jupiter with all his solutions, opportunities and big answers, will cross 18 Scorpio this year, for the first time in 12 years. So you would gain by this piggy-in-the-middle role. Love is really about Leo and Libra in your chart, and you have patterns there at 24, 25, 26 degrees, so the second half of 2019 brings interesting opportunities to start or restart a relationship as Jupiter crosses 24, 25, 26 degrees in Sagittarius and makes some lovely trines and sextiles.

   1. You have Uranus in Libra but Pluto too, both in your Seventh House, which describes the chemistry you share with your former, current or potential partners. It also shows your rivalries, battles and conflicts with people who are against you. I am sure you have had quite a dramatic few years since Uranus moved opposite from 2011, and no doubt you have had to learn how to handle unbalanced scales with one particular person, and perhaps more than one. Understanding your need to reject what you create sexually and romantically would help you. You probably have a lifelong pattern of creating relationships, partnerships or marriages, only to distance yourself from them. This can mean a constant ‘churning’ with lovers. Pluto is really about your need to take, to take over, to dominate and control. Again, you would gain by understanding this pattern in yourself and figuring out how to work with it.

9. Interesting article Jessica. I was looking at mine and my hubby’s. We are 10 months apart yet he is a Gemini with Neptune in Scorpio and I am Aries with Neptune in Saggi. I see the credit card habit in him, his lack of reality with hard cash. He carries no money ever, only uses cards! When I question he argues that the world works on credit not cash *sigh*. I have started the process of separating the finances to become more independent, no more will I listen to ‘you don’t earn much at all, I do.’ Would you love your thoughts on financial independence with respect to my future. Next year will be interesting for you Jos, as Jupiter (opportunities, breakthroughs, solutions) will be in Sagittarius in your Ninth House, which is where you travel, bring foreign people into your life, educate yourself and pursue your personal beliefs. 2019 will be a welcome change in the usual focus on your husband and the money, in other words. You will see the change in atmosphere from November and have a stunning opportunity by the first quarter of next year. It will not come again in this way for 12 years so think seriously about taking a journey, relocating or travelling in the mind.

    Thank you for this article. I do love the way you explain things. I’ve always found other astrologers explanations of Uranus and Neptune particularly, well, confusing…! I also enjoyed your take on *that* wedding.
    I am one of the Uranus in Virgo and Neptune in Scorpio 60s peeps. One thing that you might find interesting, when you say that we are in for a shake up re marriage and shared debt etc: I left my husband over three years ago and only last week, when Uranus changed signs, did we finally complete a property settlement! And I also filed – finally – for divorce (court hearing in July). I have to say, while your horoscopes are always so accurate and give me so much guidance and wise counsel, your weeklies from the past month or so have been just totally on point, it’s scary xxx
    Re the time it took to finally end my marriage: It wasn’t so much my belief in the sanctity and endurance of the institution that caused the delay, it was concern how my daughter was affected – as it was a terrible shock to her when I had to leave – and my Scorpio sun ex husband’s extra strong belief in marriage (also known as ‘denial’ and failure to ‘let it go’). But, things are definitely moving on and now we are at the end. I’m cleaned out financially, but feel so free. And I’ve managed to buy him out of the family home – so have a big debt but am working towards maintaining a home for my daughter. I’ve got Saturn transiting my second house now, so I know it’s not going to be easy. But I’ll get there.

    1. Thank you very much for this feedback and I am glad the astrology has helped you through this massive change in your life. As you say, you’ll get there in the end. When transiting Uranus eventually makes it to your own Uranus natally, and Neptune too, you’ll have the genuine liberation and independence phase in your life with nothing else tying you down. That will be a revelation for you when it finally comes to pass!

    I just wanted to pop in on this post for two reasons. First, though my Neptune is super frustrating in some ways I also really enjoy him. I have nothing going on in pisces, but Neptune makes aspects all over my chart including both decent sized stelliums in Sag and Gemini. In using your 1 degree orb system I actually have no aspects to Uranus! So, I guess that’d make him perigrine!

    The other thing I wanted to say is just yesterday I came across this article that I think shows the Neptune in Pisces transit really well. I really feel like the opiod crisis in the US here is related at least somewhat to Neptune’s transit in Pisces. If so then it sucks that he still has so long to go still. I’m interested in how Saturn going through Pisces in a few years might affect this as well. Anyways, that’s not this post. Here’s the article I found… Who knew fish also liked to get high?! Neptune is an interesting planet to live with and at 28 Sagittarius in your Ninth House, he is a dominant influence, just because you have experienced so many triggers to him, over the course of your life. When the South Node goes to 28 Sagittarius you will have quite a memorable year and in fact the foreign people or places you encounter then may well have past-life connections for you, as the Node is obviously about ancient karma. You are right about the opiod crisis in America and Neptune. And fish getting high is absolutely classic, though I don’t think any astrologer could ever have predicted that one!

    I’m spending this weekend away on a retreat which you could say has a Uranian/Neptunian theme, to try to shift some longstanding unhelpful personal patterns, maybe make a real breakthrough. I see I have Neptune at 0Scorpio plus Mars at 1Capricorn and Satrun at 2 Sag. But this weekend’s intent is purely personal, nothing to do with money, or career, hopefully the real benefit will be happiness. Does this fit with the astrology?

    1. Neptune at 0 Scorpio is what you will feel first of all, as Uranus hovers at 0 Taurus now. A, you will find that a general upheaval out there in business, finance, charity or property has an impact on your own company, firm, bank account, sales, purchases and so on. A good example of this might be the new European laws on data which are sweeping the internet at the moment. In a very general way you won’t be using the web the same way in future. It’s not really more personal than that as so many people were also born with Neptune at 0 Scorpio. Another example might be blockchain becoming mainstream and Amazon, among others, pursuing cryptocurrency.

14. Hi Jessica. I have a number of 1 degree aspects which Uranus will trigger. Libra asc and Cancer M.C. trine Neptune Scorpio and square natal Uranus at 2 Leo. I am looking for a home of my own having moved back to live with Mum. Would welcome any changes. Any thoughts? Thank you

    1. It’s unlikely you were born right on 5.00pm so your angles (MC/AC/IC/DC) may not be precisely at those degrees. Rather than risk being out with timing, as a home is an important decision to make, I will focus on Neptune at 1 Scorpio and Psyche at 1 Virgo in your horoscope, which from June 2018 will be aspected by Uranus at 1 Taurus. As this pattern holds in early 2019 as well, you’re in for about 12 months of radical changes to the way you earn, own or owe money. This goes into lifestyle as well. Uranus will oppose your Neptune in the Eighth House of shared finance and property, so you’ll need to lose your illusions. I suspect this is probably about your mother, or perhaps other family members too. At the same time Uranus will trine Psyche in Virgo in the Sixth House of day-to-day routine, your lifestyle, wellbeing, housework, paid work and unpaid work. This is quite interesting as Psyche is about what outlives you! What lasts forever. So there’s something there about a project you take on, or a role you play, which will have very long-lasting results. In terms of moving, you may want to look at your Diana at 22 Sagittarius as this is a fiercely independent, adventurous side of your personality and Diana the huntress needs her space and freedom. Placed in Sagittarius in the Ninth House of foreign people and places, it suggests a stunning opportunity to take a very long vacation or working holiday in 2019, as Jupiter (abundant opportunity) will line up with Diana at 22 Sagittarius giving you the biggest and best chance in 12 years to relocate. You could easily emigrate, actually, or at the very least decamp to a place which feels foreign to you – even within your own country. So, this is going to take time, but a door will eventually open.     Can you please help me understand my chart. Uranus at 19 degrees Sagittarius and Neptune at 3 degrees Capricorn. My sun sign is at 15 degrees Libra. What houses are Uranus and Neptune in for me? I don’t understand why life has taken me in this direction sometimes:

    1. Uranus and Neptune are not in aspect in your chart. What do we mean when we say ‘in aspect’? Basically that two factors in your chart are at the same degree, or same number. You can allow one degree’s difference, or gap, for an aspect. You have Mercury at 6 Scorpio conjunct Pluto at 6 Scorpio, so Mercury and Pluto are in aspect. In other words you have a Mercury-Pluto conjunction in Scorpio in your Eighth House of finance, property and business.

    I have Uranus in Libra and Neptune in Scorpio. These houses are next to each other. Is that anything of note? Also, doed Virgo rule the body because I have been thinking a lot about my health lately and lastly which house rules relationships as I am hoping there is one on the horizon for me.     1. Greetings from London. The houses being adjacent is just part of the way everybody’s horoscope is put together, so it’s not important. Virgo does rule the body, and the way the body often acts out issues for the soul, or spirit. (In other words when we do not take steps to change anything about our work, unpaid work or housework, the body will get in the way to force that change). Relationships are ruled by Leo (Fifth House – sexual relationships that may or may not end in pregnancy) and Libra (Seventh House – marriage, or common law marriage). Scorpio (Eighth House) rules relationships where money and property play a big part – so, marriage-and-mortgage deals! It’s not very romantic but it’s at the beating heart of many partnerships.

    1. Your Uranus and Neptune are not in aspect. You have a square between Saturn and Uranus, though, and a semi-sextile from Uranus to Pluto. Your Moon is quincunx Neptune.

    Thank you for your kind support, I am very scared at this time. I have an operation on Wednesday which falls over the full moon period. Is it an auspicious moment for an operation? I have never had an anesthetic before in my life. I have smoked the grass though and I am putting the brakes on that as hard as it is.

    1. Give yourself tons of time and space all week. The Full Moon falls in Gemini-Sagittarius, which has nothing to do with health, but everything to do with communication! I expect your major issue will be your phone, or internet. When you have a quiet moment, light a little candle, shut off all noise and close your eyes to connect with your spirit guide. Ask for help. Very simple! Yet – they cannot help until you ask. They are not allowed to interfere. Request assistance to get through this stressful time and to have a successful journey back to health at the other end. The higher purpose of this is discovering your true Virgo self, which is all about the body, mind and spirit ‘as one’ and figuring out that connection.

Have been feeling it’s a time for a change although also have opportunities to work with academia which I am very excited about and don’t want to throw away.

    1. Yes, you are strongly Scorpio. Jupiter (solutions, opportunities, results, growth, benefits, improvements) will move across some significant factors in your Eighth House of property, finance, business and charity in the second half of the year. You need to look at Mercury Retrograde, though, as this takes place across October, November, December. Look up Mercury Retrograde specifically for 2018 and the dates I have posted which will apply to your chart. Make sure you allow for delays, changes with the process!
